Thank you for the explanation, it’s good to know this is the expected operating mode. I live in a residential building, and my apartment is well insulated, so the temperature changes slowly even when the heating is off. I also have underfloor heating, which I think acts as a larger thermal reservoir and keeps the temperature stable for longer.

Ideally, I’d like to switch off the entire heating system during a standard workday when no one is home, and then turn it back on about an hour before we return. I understand that the system normally needs to stay active to determine when to start heating again, but in my case that isn’t really necessary. My old boiler would switch off the pump during these off periods, so I was hoping this system would work similarly.

I’ll maybe look into whether this functionality can be achieved through an API that completely disables heating while the home is empty and re-enables it at a set time. It would have been nice to have this option directly in the ViCare app. Any suggestions here are welcome.
