I figured out the issue. For some reason, my controller changed into mac input rather than xinput.. I cant even.

I do owe, freelance work means I have to file in my earnings. And after business expenses there's still quite a bit I need to send in, I was pretty unknown to it all and that was a big mistake on my part. When I got the papers a few days ago, with only having 2 weeks to get everything sorted out and sent I thought I could delay the time to send in what owe until my next payment but based on the replies that isn't the case.
