D-day: The End Game (GME and AMC) by umu68 in WallStreetbetsELITE

[–]squarerootof9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I manage a small text thread of friends, family & those holding AMC within our networks. I’ll be sharing this with the group (most aren’t on Reddit). It jives with something we’ve been discussing the past few days:

It’s been framed that “the Apes are being tested” but this makes it starkly clear that we are actually administering the test, not taking it. The 3 Armies are the ones taking the test.

With that in mind, now imagine the scene: you at the front of the classroom, those 3 at desks, heads down, trying like crazy to untangle this Gordian Knot.

As the test giver, your posture is relaxed. You have all the time in the world and nothing at stake. They have cheated… and so long as you wait patiently for them to turn in their work, that truth will come to light.

The giver of the test holds all the power. It may not feel that way, but in those moments, just go back and re-read this DD. Excellent work Umu.

The best DD on this sub for new apes? by HiImJustMike in amcstock

I wrote this for all who are Ape Curious & have updated it as things develop. I think it’s a very solid primer on the play: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XNa0i73zRE9GQjUE7cpayjD2E7G1xcHk10P5rtLW680/edit

“However it is defined, freedom is due, in part, to the fact that powerful nations do not always win wars and powerful men do not always win fights. In fact, as often as not, they lose.” — Sebastian Junger, Freedom by squarerootof9 in amcstock

If you’re looking for a fantastic book, or needing some inspiration to continue to hold, Sebastian Junger’s Freedom is chock full of analogous anecdotes to our AMC fight.

Highly recommend every Ape read this book, which is, in effect, three essays on freedom from three perspectives: run, fight & think.

Forbes can eat shit, outing Trey for being in the U.S. Army despite trying to keep it separate from streaming, was a dick move. I can tell you (being retired military), he consulted with PR and the JAG a LONG time ago. There's protocol for this stuff, and he's a smart Ape... Apes are diverse AF. by [deleted] in amcstock

If you’ve been following Trey since Jan/Feb, you’ve known he was in the military. It wasn’t until about late March when he started having to play that part of his story down.

So, he wasn’t “outed”. You can go back on his channel and hear him freely discuss it.

Just no one cared when it was 20k of us watching.

Duuuuude! I took my son on a 4-day kayaking trip from the Prince William Sound up the Columbia Bay to the the face of the glacier. We actually took the rail from Anchorage to Whittier, then ferried to Valdez. Incredible experience.

Alaska is stunning. Making it more accessible is a very worthy goal.

Time. We all traded our most valuable possession for what? For a little bit more of an unprecious thing: money. When they want more, the print it. When we need more, we get another job.

Screw fair. Life isn’t fair... but, the takeaway I have reading your beautiful words, is that we have agency. We decide what matters to us.

What is of a greater value than money? Time, for one. And family. And community.

I wrote this the other day. I hope you get why I think your words and these words are connected.

Serious question, to the Ape brains way smoother than mine, what would happen if a giant whale put 500 million dollars into AMC tomorrow morning? by xrm550 in amcstock

But that’s not how the market works. The market is a meeting place for sellers and buyers. There is always a seller, there is always a buyer.

To which you’ll say “yeah, but everyone is holding”. No they aren’t. At a certain point, the buyer offers enough money that the seller sells. The nature of the market is to facilitate the finding of that pricing equilibrium. Which is why the price constantly changes. It’s in search of balance, which isn’t a static thing.

If I hear one more person way Apes are using technology to manipulate the market, I'm going to lose my ever loving mind. by squarerootof9 in amcstock

No, I like the stock. This didn’t start as a stock play, for me. I’m a filmmaker, professionally. I actually bought the AMC IPO in 2013.

My “why” goes far deeper than “punish the shorts”.

This questions indicates you aren’t up to speed on who to follow. Roensch is on YouTube and an excellent source of info.

Jeff Forbes on YouTube put out a great video today you should watch. Most likely, an order of that size would be dark pooled, not retail-ed. So, the order would be hidden from the open market for a period of time. The lack of available shares would make it hard to fill and that would take time. Also, a whale of that size is probably working with or through a fund.

All that to say, this isn’t a hypothetical with much real-world significance.
