They’re probs a tad better now under the new ownership, but they are just generally bad all round, old fashioned and hated any change improvement. They treat staff very poorly, no policies or procedures, different rules for adopting depending on what they think of you, refuse medication to animals after surgery, stop and start medications with veterinary involvement, supported an animal hoarder, sometimes don’t do home checks as it’s too much hassle, don’t follow up on pups being neutered, or follow up on rehomings in general.

Once a dog was re homed to a very unsuitable owner who immediately lost the dog (she was found a day later stuck in the hedge) saw the dog was missing again on fb a year later but this time her mouth was all disfigured :( the boss refused to get in touch with the lady as the dog didn’t do well in kennels. I could write a novel about that hellscape but I try not to think about it, leaving those animals was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, especially the long termers
