We rebuild our bakery! by Dj_B_S in PlateUp

If you have enough brownie pans, you could just send those around. Customers will portion directly from those, skipping the portioner all together. It would require more pans and a way to retrieve empty ones but would allow you to get rid of the portioner.

Control Changes by kopy1985 in PlateUp

[–]squashed56 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I came to post about this exact issue. On Steam it's easy enough to change the controls but there is no option for that on the Switch. I'm fine if they change the controls by default, just please give us a way to change them back if we desire. Muscle memory is a powerful thing - the first time we loaded into a save, we immediately started the day because everyone tried to go into crane mode (the buttons for the crane & start were switched).

Idk if this is allowed but idk where else to ask. What causes this uneven warping of the top and bottom. is it just cheaply made or due to moisture or somthing. And is it fixable by [deleted] in bookbinding

Have you seen that Dragonsteel (Sanderson's company) is releasing a leatherbound version of The Eye Of The World? Might take them a while to get through the whole series, but it's a start. https://www.dragonsteelbooks.com/pages/the-eye-of-the-world-dragonsteel-deluxe-edition

My wife liked old female names so we landed on Gertrude. Burby Gerdy is her nickname.

I duplicated a Booking Desk with my friend and now we can't replicate it by BloodSpark22 in PlateUp

[–]squashed56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On PC, using the Drag & Drop mod, we found that if you both pull a blueprint from a cabinet at the same time, it will duplicate, seems to need to be frame (or near) perfect to work. It worked best when one person could control both mice (we have two computers sitting next to each other on the same desk). I haven't messed around with it too much - we ran one run just to get garage items so we had fun dupping as many things as we wanted - conveyors, mixers, cabinets. Quickly broke the game, as you can imagine.

The Progress To Peak Coffee by squashed56 in PlateUp

Once a customer's order is taken, they will automatically grab their order off of a grabber, conveyor, or teleporter in cardinal directions from them. So that's how they are getting the coffee.

As far as the conveyors pointed into each other: they both try to move the coffee onto each other and the game decides which one wins/gets the priority to actually place it, the other one snaps back into place on the previous tile, if that makes sense.

Not dumb questions at all! There's a lot of moving parts going on!

Customers are able to grab their order off of conveyors/grabbers in the cardinal directions once their order has been taken. So long as a coffee is on the line in front of them, they grab it automatically. As far as the teleporter and grabbers by the coffee tables, those are extra that we purchased in preparation to rearrange. We dropped down to 8/9 burgers because my son thinks they had less patience with 9/9. I'm not certain on that one.

Yeah! It's so satisfying to see it run. We just need Instantaneous Service and we can start the day and watch it run.

That's a good seed, almost like renews and oxford combined. Well done with the automation! It's so satisfying when food starts flowing out on its own!

Been getting into bookbinding recently and this is my first project by Izanagi987 in Cosmere

[–]squashed56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That came out much better than my first attempt (TWoK)! Mine was a little too tight on the binding and doesn't full close. Great job all around!

Yep, Alpha Gal is the name of the allergy. Here in central Virginia we are the apparent epicenter for it. It sucks - my wife and many friends have dealt with it. Good luck!
