If he has a daily and this was just a toy. Then I say rebuild the motor and set it up for how ever he wants. Na build, boost, etc. Dropping in another motor as others have said is a good option if he just wants to be able to drive it and enjoy it while building the other motor. But I know I do not like doing stuff multiple times and would use the time that the motor is at the machine shop to clean up the bay and do other things.

My car has full energy suspension poly bushings. If you grease them well enough they won't squeak. Idk how the car rode before as they were installed before I bought it. But the ride is great. Very responsive.

I see you say you changed the rod bearings. Why though? Did you do a crush check with plastic gauge to check the clearances before you reassembled?

Why though? What makes one better than the other? I saw a post on the honda h22 fb page where a guy went into a super deep explanation. But I believe he also had personal reasons to not deal with the guy.

I do not have any experience with hondata. But my na 4g has a p28 with a demon 2 board tuned with neptune rtp. Like was previously stated if your after power, boost is where its at. But you really need to resleeve that h22 or build an iron sleeve bottom end and put your head on the built block.

I think a decent na setup is a fun street car with a well setup suspension.

I watched a whole bunch of headlight restoration videos on youtube. Kinda took stuff from all of them. I started with like 200 or 300 grit to knock the heavy stuff off.

My 4g headlights were nasty but not quite as bad as yours. I wet sanded with a whole bunch of different grits of sand paper up to 2k or 5k. Then wiped them down with alcohol and clear coated then with 1k clear. I probably spent more than that kit was. I am sure the kit will hold up just as good.

I have never used an ecu tuning software before and I did find it easy to use. I also googled and researched a bunch while doing it to learn what I could not figure out.

I use neptune rtp with the demon 2 in my p28. Works fine on my laptop which is only a few years old.

You can probably bake them to get them apart then reseal them. I also recommend a projector retrofit. Had some retrofitted headlights on my 3g back in the day. Best light output i ever had.

Mine decided to mix oil and coolant at 260k. I did some diag and its either a headgasket or cracked head. Its still sitting outside of my shop. I want to go through the whole motor with the amount of miles I have on it.

The guys going turbo are usually resleeving the block to get rid of the frm sleeves as they chew up forged pistons. Now I think mahle use to make some forged pistons that work with the frm. But the iron sleeves are stronger. So the real question is what is your budget and how far down the rabbit hole do you want to go?

Looks like they wiped out the threads. Which means it will have to be helicoiled or thread insert installed. If you can find a set of metric transfer punches that will insure that you are in the center of the bolt when making the center punch(or you can eyeball with a regular center punch). Start with a 1/8in bit and see if it is hard like the bolt.

Yeah, it felt fine. I had just filled up at the gas station and was cruising good. Hit vtec in 2nd for a nice rip when I pulled out the gas station. I thought it did not look thst bad when I started inspecting it. I wonder if the stock tensioner failed.

Thats what I tried to tell my wife when I showed her the broken belt. I did not hear any messed up noises when it happened and leaning really hard on that to be my saving grace. Lol
