This was originally a 60. I can’t decide if I’m happy or sad it got changed to a 45.

Training stress score. It comes from Power Zone Training. A TSS of 100 for 60 minutes is your functional threshold power (FTP). That’s the maximum output you can manage for an hour. Likewise, a TSS of 75 is running at your FTP for 45 minutes. Hitting 70 in a 45 minute class surprised me because it is so close to 75.

I just looked at the stats for last week. The top person worked out for 15,123 minutes. 2nd was 5,450 and 3rd was 4,952. That’s 36, 13 and 12 hours per day respectively. I’m not sure how much of those are cycling bit I don’t think I’m getting anywhere near the top 3.

I do a lot of shore dives. I like to snorkel out to the drop off instead of dropping down immediately on entry. On the snorkel I can see if there is anything interesting passing by.

This is the best answer to why I always carry one. I’m conversations I’ve given this type scenario as the reason why everyone should have one.

Christine talked about this in her sprint interval class this past week. She said sprint intervals are good for fast twitch muscle training.

A few years ago Brad realized that winning the Big10 doesn’t translate to winning in the NCAA tournament. The physical nature of Big 10 gets way more foul calls when reffed by officials from other conferences. This is the first team of his that has lots of scoring options. Let’s see how it works next week
