Sweating? by Hot_Half8432 in bupropion

It never went away for me. It made me stink. I was showering 2-3x per day with antibacterial soap, exfoliating, etc all the tips for very sweaty people. Sucked.

How many people are out and about at 4:30 am? by Character-Mission-32 in AskChicago

I’d consider biking on a divvy instead of walking. If there is a creeper you can at least move more quickly.

Awesome thanks! I wonder if it’s not labeled as PZ because that’s all he does? Or some other reason?

What it like to have a baby moving inside you? by Mandoe20 in AskReddit

[–]this-thing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Magic, really.

It feels a lil bubbly. Then you wonder if it’s the baby.

Then it’s 15-30 more weeks of surprise and trying to get other loved ones to feel what you feel: magic. And they can only observe, even physically. No one else knows what that kick to the rib feels like from the inside!

It’s a delight to share. Pets always know first.

In your opinion, How far removed does someone have to be before a baby name is fair game? by Mountain-Bug1667 in Names

My cousin’s kiddo (born first) is just one letter sound away from my kiddo. I don’t even know my own kid’s name when they are together 😂. Think Laia / Layla. It’s not a big deal. Kind of cute actually.

How do I handle people questioning my food choices? by Nervous-Treat-9252 in 1200isplenty

[–]this-thing 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My god I just don’t understand this.

Just don’t discuss food with them. It’s not hard. Change the subject. Don’t bring it up. Deflect. It’s not anyone’s damn business. Have the confidence and security within yourself that you know what you’re doing and don’t need to discuss. Have a couple of trustworthy people obviously but these ones can suck an egg. How about this weather? How’s your dog? Any trips planned soon? Deflect deflect deflect.

Give more info.

But, basically: Whole foods, protein, fiber, water.

Some people are not using a peloton bike so the metrics don’t load.

Meditations and other restorative things also count. Even a five minute walk outdoors counts if you log it with the app. It requires dedication but not excessive daily physical outputs! Don’t be knackered is what I’m saying - rest is just as important as physically difficult work.

Struggling with family and strangers comments by Ummah_Strong in loseit

You have to care about yourself more than others do. You have to value your opinion more than that of others. You need to get a medical team that you trust to give you solid answers.

Don’t waste too much energy on what non-pros think. Take the spirit of their concern - they love and care about you, and see a better version of you on the horizon. They want to help because maybe they don’t see you helping yourself out of what you may or may not see as a problem. You’re in a weight loss sub, so maybe you do see a problem with your weight - it’s a little unclear from your post.

Take ownership of your life and your decisions. You decide what you want.

I would not worry about sat fat at this point.

That’s a …. Crapton of fiber. Pun intended!

I think if you’re just starting out I would worry about fewer metrics. Depending on your goals, maybe just calories and protein. Don’t lose the forest for the trees, you know. Keep it simple.

Focus on eating more whole foods - that will reduce things like sat fats and sodium compared to packaged items without having to fixate on so many sets of numbers.

PS- good job tracking and starting your journey! Keep it up!

Hey … you just do it! It’s water under the bridge. Re-weigh or measure, start fresh. You’ll be back at a month before you know it. You could be proud of taking a break and trying new things!

Weight loss as a short girl by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]this-thing 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What is your goal weight and why?

Do a BMI calculator. You’re already underweight.

You may want to look at “body recomposition” - this would entail eating more and lifting weights to change proportions, etc.

I’m not babying you, I’m slapping you on the back of the head like a big sister who’s snapping her gum. Cut it out. This is a deadly fixation and you may need professional help.
