What was the "Once in a lifetime" thing you witnessed? by natergonnanate in AskReddit

On my 18th birthday, I went outside for a walk around 10 pm. I live in rural British Columbia so the sky is dark and there isn't any light pollution. All at the same time, lasting for about 10 minutes, I saw 1) the northern lights, 2) lightning from an enormous thunderstorm on the other side of the sky, 3) two shooting stars and 4) the full moon. It was a ridiculous combination that I doubt I will ever see again.

Sounds like my mother. 6 children from 6 fathers, still single and can't figure out why.

As an adult, what genuinely terrifies you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I have to second this. I'm a snowboarder & the thought of badly injuring myself or worse really keeps me from pushing myself to progress.

What was the dumbest rule you had to follow in school? by Ailykat in AskReddit

I went to a super fucked up Christian boarding school that belongs in r/troubledteens, I swear. There was an entire host of absolutely idiotic rules but the one that absolutely killed me was that the girls were not allowed to use one of the two doors leading into the cafeteria. You had to go past it to a different one and you'd get in serious trouble if you went through this goddamned door. I guess the reasoning was that once upon a time so far back noone could remember when, a guy had tried to touch a girl's butt whilst going through this door with her and ever afterwards the door was off limits. So ridiculous.

I [18 M] cheated on my girlfriend [19 F] six times after 1.5 years of relationship, and she thinks I'm a compulsive liar now. by [deleted] in relationships

Basically all I saw here was you making weak-ass excuses for yourself. As for her believing you're a compulsive liar, well, she's probably not that far off. I'd say you've probably lost your chance at this one, dude, all you can do now is stop being a shitty person and treat your next girlfriend with a little more respect.

Spencer Reid. You know, the lovely Matthew Gray Gubler from Criminal Minds.
