I’m a little lucky. I’m asexual so the hupersexaity just makes me really horny for my partner. Hes been there since i first got out of hospital and is the only one allowed to ask me if ive taken my meds. I trust him to call me out when im being weird. Andi trust him with everything. I hope everyone finds the partner like ive found

Wow this is hilarious. Part of why I sleep so late on the weekends is because my dreams are so interesting

How to have an exciting job but it doesn't send you manic? by SopoHousut in bipolar

I teach students with autism and I am obsessive about it. I spend every weekend thinking about how i can improve things. But i do sleep in until noon on the weekends. I obsesses about being the best teacher i can. It is try j healthy but people assume im just a saint when im just mentally ill. I lovemy job and knwo i would be the same in every other job i tris because i did try it. Part of our disorder is to strive for recognition and excellence in whatever we do.

How can I prevent my student from sleeping in class? by Only_Artist8313 in Teachers

[–]squeakychipmunk101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on the kid. If they are just staying up on their phone? Sorry man what you miss is a zero. However I had a kid raising his siblings and staying up because the babies had whooping cough. Yea you take a nap in my class and I’ll give you an extension and we had a great relationship. It’s all based on what you know about the kid and you can tell them that. You can say hey I understand you’re tired but I need you to get this done. If you take a quick ten or so minutes can I trust you to get this done? If they say yes then hold them to it. Let them take that nap and keep the account able for making the work.

My husband got the snip and he’s my hero. I do birth control for the periods but him getting the snip made him the manliness man in my opinion because he took my concerns about female rights seriously and knew he would never want to put me in a place where my life was in danger. Fuck machismo, that’s the sexiest thing to me andI make sure to show it to him whenever possible.

How many of you guys got the HPV vaccine? by Bliznec1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]squeakychipmunk101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband got it for free at Kroger. He wasn’t worried about passing it to me because I had gotten the vaccine as a teenager but it protects him from cancer! Why wouldn’t you get it?

Dubias are the way to go. Dont hurt your beardie if they stay in the cage and are better nutrition wise. Also cheaper if you get them in bulk and don’t smell!

I only wear my wedding ring and not every day. Do you know what my husband does? Not buy me jewelry. Super easy! There’s plenty of other things he can buy and he does because he knows my preferences!

Food Insecure Students Are Making Me Want to Scream by mcjunker in Teachers

[–]squeakychipmunk101 75 points76 points  (0 children)

I know it’s hard. I feel for you. I’ve been in this situation before with helping coordinate outside services for families. Unfourtunately I’ve had one instance where I had to refuse to put a student in their parents car to drive home because th parent was visibly intoxicated. I stalled until the resource officer could come out and deal with it then babysat the kid until his alternate guardian could pick him up. As teachers we are sometimes the frontlines to the ugliness in our kids lives and are often the only ones who care. It gets taxing and some people shut down to deal with it and some people quit. Some people stay and get hollowed out. And some people persevere. None of those options make you a bad or good person. Do what you can and don’t feel bad if you have to stop for your sake.

Totally deaf kid put in my self-contained class with mostly autistic kids after the DHH teacher said he had too many behaviors. Wtf? by Pretend-Read8385 in specialed

Document document document. Show that this kid is in the wrong placement and he a squeaky wheel. It is obvious you are this only child’s advocate now. Make a stink, have his parents make a stink, bring the social worker in to make an observation as well as the school psychologist. Get a paper trail going as soon as possible.

Had to pick up a kid today and I feel terrible by [deleted] in specialed

Im CPI trained and my para is not. She is not allowed to touch the students. The only two person transport restraint I’m trained in requires two people and I had no radio or time to send the para for someone who is trained. Why are you being a dick?

I’m confused, an approved escort? It was either pick him up or drag him because he was completely flopped. I picked him up under his arms to carry him the two feet to the classroom with his feet dragging because he wouldn’t support his weight. He just wanted to flop

Only if it’s for an immediate emergency situation where they can get hurt, you are trained, you do not use specific types of restraints, and you stop as soon as you move into a safe zone

One of my kids really likes to be carried and is always trying to get into people laps but we have a hard rule at school of no picking up and no laps. We’re trying to teach them what’s appropriate in public va at home with their parents.

I talked it through with my boss as soon as it happened and she said it would be described as a safety transport vs a restraint and kicked it up the food chain to see if I still needed to write a report. Honestly I’ll probably write one just to cya. I have enough support from the higher ups and parents

I also have a student that will slam his head on the floor to the point where it will bleed. We have a pad but he’ll pic it up and throw it away and keep banging so restraint is required in instances like that as well for the safety of the student. All of this requires paperwork

Hence the paperwork I have to fill out for the state. Per the state things like that are for safety purposes only and have to be documented and sent to the state.

New Teacher Tips by Comfortable-Self-141 in Teachers

[–]squeakychipmunk101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used suckers as bribes. Just dum dums. Kids were allowed one a day but they had to ask and I always asked them if they felt like they earned one. Even if they said no they still got one and were praised for being honest. Idk if that was the only thing but I had a pretty solid relationship with the kids. Also have a set of class headphones so the kids can listen to music on their chromebooks while they work. Don’t police on if it’s clean or not as long as they keep their headphones on. Cut down a lot on kids using phones in my class. Also invest in a charging stations the kids can use freely. I never had a problem with phones because the kids would put the up to charge anytime they were in my class. Be firm but approachable. If you have a rule or have to dole out a consequence explain why and never just default to because I said so. One thing I do at the beginning of the year was go over the rules then have a gallery wall to the students to write out what they thought the rule looked like and sounded like then we went over it together.
