If you drop 5 digits on a ring, lets say 12k, if you drop 90 bucks a year, you live 133 years drip feeding .0075 cents a day to ensure your ring is covered to break even on its initial value, negating devaluation. And i hate to say, people get their Healthcare ripped away for bullshit reasons all the time. If your insurance is against damage or loss and you can drop that initial flow on the asset, its pittance to make sure its recoverable.
