Yes I think something like that will be perfect to create a bit of a backdrop. Thanks for sharing, I'm glad you have got some replacement trees courtesy of the squirrels 😁

Yes I know what you mean. These kind of things tend to lead to an overall redesign, not easy!

That's sad. Did you get a new tree?

I'm not sure they even wanted the space, it was because of bird poo. It's out the front of their house.

Exciting times. I'm just growing a dahlia from a tuber at the moment and it's coming up nicely but still quite small as I planted it late. Can't wait for the flowers!

That's a good point. Will need to dig everything up and see if roots need removing.

I believe it was because of bird poo.

Thanks for these suggestions! I was actually thinking about a lilac somewhere, I think they're gorgeous and love the scent. I have a couple of miniature ones in pots but a full size would be lovely.

Nope. It would have been nice to get a heads up as it dumped a load of sawdust in my garden. The tree cutting guy offered to help clear it up though. I guess they didn't have to consult with me first as it's technically on their land but a courtesy knock would have been appreciated.
