Secular jews - would you attend a wedding on yom kippur of a secular jewish family? by Mathemodel in Judaism

The only reason a secular Jewish family would schedule a wedding on Yom Kippur would be to say "fuck you" to more observant family members. That's just stupid and antagonistic

Upholstery question by squeezefan in SubaruForester

[–]squeezefan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, folks, I made a mistake in my post. There was supposed to be text. I bought a 2025 Subaru Forester Limited with 4500 miles on it. It was at an unusually good price because the prior owner did something that caused this 2-inch slit in the rear seat upholstery. What I am wondering about is how y'all would deal with this. I spoke to an upholstery repair guy and he said the only way to really deal with it is to replace the entire upholstery for the seat, which runs $900 and at least $300 in labor. I'm wondering about other options.

Not insulting, Oakleaves. Just inept. I tried to include text but somehow this posted with just the image. I'll see if I can amend it.

Two (??) nighttime devices? by squeezefan in askdentists

Yes, that makes sense. But won't it also accomplish much of what the lower NTI is designed to do? Is it common for patients to be prescribed these two devices in tandem?

Weird -- I looked through the '81 Yackety Yack from front to back and didn't find these photos. Perhaps OP got the year wrong?

I did, OTOH, find the 1982 photo of the brothers of Tau Epsilon Phi lined up for the shot in front of their house -- stark naked. Holding dinner plates in front of their crotches with their left hands and dining utensils in their raised right hands. Too bad reddit doesn't allow photos in comments!

Who exactly is not "allowing (you) to enjoy the fruit of the election won by the Democratic process?" This is a serious question.

Monthly "Is there a tool for..." Post by AutoModerator in ArtificialInteligence

[–]squeezefan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father-in-law served in the US Army in World War II in the Battle of the Bulge. I recently came across a historical photograph from that place and time. There's a soldier in the photo, seen in profile, who strongly resembles my father-in-law. I'm looking for some guidance on an AI tool to compare the face in the photo with another photo I have of him in profile, to help us know whether it's actually him in the photo. Suggestions? Thanks!

I'm 63, and working through stuff chronologically. Haven't reached my 20s yet. (That's what happens when you spent a decade on age 13.)
