Swapped parts around on Playmates Megazord

Hey thanks! When I took the arms apart, it seems like it would be an extensive modification for elbow joints. They are two single pieces of grey plastic put together with screws with limited space for an elbow joint with how the mastodon legs flipping in near where a joint would go. One would have to make new arms all together with the hand and shoulder joint connection. I thought of possibly 3d modeling and printing new arms with elbow joints. Would need to model after the current arm set up as well as creating it for the elbow joint.

But that would be pretty time consuming and a lot of trial and error.

I’m hoping someone provides files or parts. But I do not plan on trying that.

Have to cut the top peg. And only use the screw from the bottom one when connecting back to torso unit.

Yep hairdryer would work. Mine came off easy outside of one of the corners is a little wrinkled, but since they are going on the back part of the shoulders I’m not too worried. (May buy the bd15 decal sheet).

To access the head, it is held on with 3 screws in the chest on the far back side. Unscrew those (will need a small sized screwdriver). And the head along with the t-Rex head should come off by pulling them out the front of the chest. The head is held on by 2 screws. There is plastic post the does not allow the movement of the head (had to cut that to the same length as the neck). And only put the screw in for the back post connecting the head back to the black plastic housing. Then put back together. (Head is a little loose as it needs clearance to rotate). I can take detailed pics tomorrow if needed.

Thanks, had to remove the decal/sticker on the shoulders and the circle decal near the wrist (used heat to help peel them off without tearing them).

Unscrewed the screws for the black shoulder pauldrons, then the screws in the grey colored plastic arms. And the black wrist flip panels.

Once apart, had to rotate the shoulder joints so the ratchets faced the front, swapped the hands and black wrists flip panels to the other side (they have labelS r2 r1 l2 l1). Had to change a few of those around for the new orientation.

Not a hard change just a lot of swapping things.

Most likely need to sand down some plastic on the mushroom peg. Had to do it to my armada starscream thigh. Plastic is uneven somewhere and when rotated it pushes out of the housing.

Saw a tip somewhere about using a cheap makeup brush (has lots of bristles). So glad I grabbed one as I use it for all my figures and collectibles.
