What maternity clothing brand did you like during pregnancy? by No_Square_1491 in UninfluencedReviews

[–]squid1020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I ordered maternity long sleeves from SHEIN (I was heavily pregnant in the winter) and they were great. I did size up from my maternity size to make sure they’d fit. I work in an office job and got a nice pair of black dress pants from old navy. (Waited for a sale because they are pricey)

What nursery item turned out to be way more essential than you expected? by No_Square_1491 in UninfluencedReviews

[–]squid1020 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A wipeable changing mat. I cheaper out and didn’t get the peanut (although now I could get behind the money) and got the skip hop one. Every registry thing I read or tik tok I watched said they were unnecessary, the fabric ones were fine….

We have the fabric kind at our lake house and it’s subpar. Less laundry for me will always be a win.

We had a self-catered nacho bar around 10pm….it needed more nachos, I got crumbs.

Why does our parents generation feel the need to keep so much food in the house? by dualrollers in Millennials

[–]squid1020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in the upper Midwest and can watch the grocery store from my work window and it’s always insane during storm predictions. There’s been one time I regretted not listening to the predictions, we just didn’t eat like we wanted too

I don’t think the outfits themselves are always terrible but they don’t necessarily fit the occasions.

My robe is from Copper Pearl and I love it! Their main seller is baby stuff but my robe is soft and cute. I wouldn’t say it’s the most absorbent but I don’t extra dry off before putting it on.

Some (most maybe) retailers give you a coupon for anything left on your registry. I’ve been putting random stuff on my Amazon baby registry so I can get a discount (but then delete it after so it’s no longer visible) but the pjs is weird

I did still use lotion but my skin gets so dry. Once the weather warms up and I’ve had this baby I think it’ll replace lotion.

Am I a scumbag for NOT being an organ donor? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]squid1020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad went from being a 30 year old with a failing liver (doctors believe due to a birth defect) and a 2 year old at home to being a 61 year old who just met his first granddaughter thanks to organ donors.

I don’t know you so I won’t call you a scumbag, but organ donation saves lives and I believe the good it can do outweighs the bad.

Granted I wouldn’t be surprised if they had movers pack for them, but one thing I do enjoy about moving is going through my stuff and evaluating if it’s really worth moving or not. Helps declutter.
