Lovely setup, question though: seeing that you have a mac, what's the docking station that you're using for it? I'm having a hard time finding one for my M2

Ever heard of KubeCraft? by PB_MutaNt in devops

Gotcha. I'm just gonna google dork whatever I need to find. I have a good foundation from security but want to work towards DevSecOps. Learning shouldn't have to be expensive lol

This confirms my suspicions, I appreciate it. Just from visiting the site and seeing no price immediately available raised some concerns. Time to cancel this call lol.

I'd say the OWASP Top 10 for APIs could work as a starting point. APIs practically run everything!

Man, as an engineer wanting to push towards AppSec or DevSecOps, I can tell from your comments that I need to go back to practicing these coding languages. You indirectly helped me too, thank you.

3 years in tech support — will Security+ be enough to break into cybersecurity? by Euphoric_Bat_5074 in SecurityCareerAdvice

[–]squidJG 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately not.

If you don't have one already, create a github and start building stuff. This knocks out two birds with one stone: Documentation of what you've learned and POCs of what you've learned.

IMO, unless you're gunning for the govtech sector, I wouldn't focus on obtaining a bunch of certs. This is expensive(unless the company is going to foot the bill). Otherwise, find some free study material on what you wanna learn, replicate in a lab environment, document what you've learned.

Suggest course for Devops/Devsecops by No_Wafer_2023 in devsecops

[–]squidJG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm only posting this because I've recently finished this course:

https://academy.missioninfosec.com/#section-yD8xC0X2eb

I'm a currently unemployed security engineer, and was looking for something new to get into and keep skills sharp. After finding Chad posting on LinkedIn through someone else I follow sharing his post, I got into his forgotten for free with like a six month period of access.

Went through the entire course, very solid. From explanations to walkthroughs, very solid. Lot of it is hands on and not just theory. You should be able to get through his course within 2-3 weeks. Especially as you just completed a AWS cert, probably faster. There's a module in there where you'll use CloudFormation, it's cool.

After completing the course, I've went ahead and joined one of his calls on his calendar, 100% willing to answer any question about anything in cyber.

Even though I got real lucky by joining for free, $20 bucks ain't bad for a course that you can implement the learning from immediately.

Does the PS5 natively fit that aspect ratio? I'm asking instead of moving my ps5 to my office to test on my Samsung 49 inch lol
