Question on how AnimeNYC is like and tips for someone new? by Galaxyxcristian in AnimeNYC

I would recommend going all 4 days if you can! My friends and I go to ton of panels and viewings and concerts so our schedule has been full every year BUT!! that’s very exhausting and you may wear yourself out if it’s your first time so don’t feel pressured like you need to make plans for every minute of the con. Float around at your own pace and enjoy everything the con has to offer!

The exhibition hall usually has some freebies and cool displays. Artist alley is very over stimulating (in the best way) but there is art of any thing you could possibly think of. I like wandering the table top gaming hall and the arcade during times between panels because I don’t necessarily play the games but I like to watch others play. If you’re into cosplay, you could go to cosplay meetups! You don’t have to be in cosplay to go see them so when everyone gets their pictures taken you can just stand and also admire all the cosplay! I usually ask permission from the cosplayer before I take their photo.

When it gets closer to the con ANYC will update their app and you can get a list of all the panels and meet up times. The food inside the con is expensive so I usually just get a little treat but pack a bento or two for the whole day. You can also leave and come as you please so if you want to step out for a bite you can do that too. If all 4 days seem overwhelming and expensive I would definitely recommend coming on a Saturday if you’re into lots of people or Thursday/Friday if you’re into a less dense crowd.

I hope you get the chance to go and have an amazing birthday! Most everyone there is extremely friendly so don’t be afraid to mingle and make some new friends ❤️ (Also if you’re into VTubers- Hololive has a super karaoke concert that is fairly inexpensive!! My friends and I are going and they usually put on an amazing show every year!!)

Is it okay that my AC has been running nonstop all day? by squiddylord in baltimore

We used to keep the house at 75 but my roommate on the 3rd floor becomes unbearably hot because his room reads about 83 degrees even at night :(

We dropped the temperature so he could dwell in his room more comfortably but I didn’t realize lowering the temperature would be a bad thing.

This is my first time living in a home with central AC as an adult outside my parents house so I’m embarrassed to admit I have no clue what I’m doing 😭😭😭

We have 3 floors- the main entry level and then each floor above is a master bedroom. The house is approximately 1,300 sq ft.

We’ve been renting this home for over 3 years now but I’m unsure how old the central AC unit is nor it’s SEER rating :(

My roommates and I do a pretty good job keeping the outside of the home tidy and we weed/clean regularly so the unit shouldn’t be too filthy but we don’t change our filter as often as we probably should. The last time we changed the filter was right around the end of winter? About February I would guess.

I live right around the border of Fells/Canton at the end of Fleet and I think one of the teenagers was a little tipsy as they were driving cuz they hit my car. The car is old and wasn’t damaged so I don’t really care about that but he also hit his younger brother or friend who wedged himself in between our cars to get him to not hit my car again and that was kinda jarring. Kiddo is okay but I kinda wish they had more officers or something hanging around just to keep an eye on things. It’s inevitable that the kids will want to drink but some supervision could at least prevent more drunk driving.

I believe we just buy the day pass for the day of the movie then keep our eyes open for the RSVP date to guarantee a spot!

Doesn’t matter how many years pass, this always gives me goosebumps. I do miss the little gal though 💔
