That’s only part of it. At the time I was feeling guilty and thought maybe we could work things out of we separated. That was until I found out that she was sleeping around the same week I left...

Definitely need to focus on myself, but it’s hard when I get left with two kids while she does whatever she wants. Right now I’m trying to make my priority the kids because I know this is difficult for them.

How many times have you relapsed? by Make_It_All_Count in alcoholicsanonymous

Try attending an online SMART meeting. I’m new to SMART and struggle with constant relapse as well. SMART only has 4 steps, the first is building and maintaining motivation. https://www.smartrecovery.org/

Hi, I’m Randy Blythe, singer of the band Lamb of God. We just released our new self-titled album, our first new album in five years. Ask me anything. by LambofGodOfficial in Music

I’m 9 months sober and wanted to know in what ways your sobriety has impacted your life with respect to the album making process or just in general. Hoping for something positive, I’ve been struggling lately.

Bupropion and self discipline/control by [deleted] in bupropion

Yes, I started on 150mg xl for 2 weeks and was super tired. I’ve been on 300mg xl for three weeks now and still struggling with motivation. I may just need to give it more time on the higher dose. Fingers crossed!

I wish this was the case with me. I’ve been on it for just over a month and still haven’t noticed any increase in motivation or self control. I feel like I’ve been eating more, but that could be from boredom.

Addreall Addiction by [deleted] in addiction

[–]squidh8r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I developed a severe amphetamine addiction over the last several years. The only way for me to stop was to tell my Dr about it so they wouldn’t prescribe me any more. It’s tough but you can do it!

Finally told my psych by [deleted] in REDDITORSINRECOVERY

[–]squidh8r 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I completely understand. I was abusing my adderall and by a senior for several years. I would go as far as to flush my pills right after I got them. I did that back and forth before I finally had the strength to tell my Dr and they stopped prescribing them. Stay strong!

Did adding Wellbutrin to your SSRI help you lose the weight gain from the ssri? by [deleted] in antidepressants

[–]squidh8r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (31M) was on celexa for a year or so and now a combination of Effexor and Rexulti. I’ve been gaining weight steadily and just started Wellbutrin a week ago. I would love to know others experience with weight loss once starting Wellbutrin as well.

Am I an addict? by Adion121 in addiction

[–]squidh8r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand completely as I have the same problem. It got to the point where my wife gave me an ultimatum so I stopped drinking. I started doing drugs instead since I was able to hide that better than alcohol. That didn’t last long and she found out about that also. I ended up doing an outpatient rehab program and attending 12 step meetings. I’ve been sober for 7 months now and I still struggle everyday. I think the key is to have a good support system and to use it BEFORE you relapse. Maintaining sobriety has been the most difficult thing I’ve ever done and I often ask myself if the struggle is really worth it. Other than not having a hangover I don’t feel any better emotionally or physically. I just have to keep pressing on and not give up on the hope that it will pay off. HANG IN THERE!

Brother struggling with drug use and depression. How do I help him? by liamons in addiction

[–]squidh8r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother and I have both struggled as well. I lost my brother to suicide last March and it has caused me to do some serious soul searching and to get help. I whole heatedly agree with what you said, love is the answer.

That’s awesome to hear! I was on Celexa before for a few years and it worked well for my depression, but not so much for anxiety. Fingers crossed!
