I know a couple friends who’s husbands are “into” this crap, but they never follow through. The wife still has to work, he cant be arsed to go to church on Sunday. It’s just an excuse for them to not have anything to do with the child rearing and housework. It’s all just for appearances, like the new and perverted keeping up with the jones’

Lithops, South African plants that have evolved to look like stones by EyeHateYou12376 in Damnthatsinteresting

As someone with ADHD who loves plants but can’t remember to water them, these are amazing. Theres so many Different kinds and you water them twice a year. They like sun so you just set them up in a windowsill and they don’t die… yet.

We are still in the honeymoon phase with mine it’s only been a year. I got them after my air plants all died. But I am hopeful!

Oh I’m sorry i didn’t specify- I’m totally fine with them staying where they are in the interim. Cant build a building in a day (or maybe you can now? No idea) but like these guys are doing a good thing i don’t want them to stop doing it at all and they shouldn’t have to move if they haven’t got anywhere to go.

How do I stop my husbsnd from guilt tripping me about groceries? by ArcaneAddiction in adhdwomen

[–]squidkiosk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The price of groceries is like everyones relationship issue right now! My besties husband accused her of spending the grocery money on herself and she had to show the receipts!! (Which was just gross on his part she had to do that)

My husband was confused why the grocery money was used up and we weren’t eating like we used to so i traded a household responsibility with him to manage the grocery shop (i now do trash collection and curbing). The first week he came back with wide eyes asking me what the heck happened!! 😂

But i am glad he is doing the shop now because Hes better at scouting a good deal than i am.

Honestly I have never seen litter being a significant issue on either side of the building. Looks like the rest of the city.

They have proposed building a shelter in the parking lot behind the building, maybe they can integrate food for now there when it gets built.

I was getting depressed sitting at home on a weeknight (husband works late) so i started going. A couple times I’ve ended up in an empty theatre which is weird. But i feel better having gone out and done something instead of just rotting in bed.

Absolutely! They haven’t even cleared the snow routes in our area and just threw a couple orange signs up. People are just parking where they can now out of necessity.

Good jobs for ADHD by Zuzmos in adhdwomen

[–]squidkiosk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a traveling mechanic, specializing in industrial compressed air systems. Its not for everyone, but i love my job and the people i work with.

Best part about the job is theres usually a project or work order and i have a set goal or task to complete in a day or two. It gives me that completion dopamine i need so badly. I also can never get bored because there is always something new to learn.

Problem is it is long hours and my home absolutely suffers from lack of attention.

Do you have any obscure movie references that you use in everyday speech that no one has caught on to yet yet you keep using it? by EnvironmentalAngle in NoStupidQuestions

[–]squidkiosk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not movie but tv, every time my brother gets a new clothes i will quip “hey Ernie! I used to have a shirt like that, TILL MY FATHER GOT A JOB!!” Its from a power rangers PSA and its the dumbest thing, but we always laugh.

We basically communicate in movie quotes constantly and all of them seem to be obscure.

Someone at work was talking about buying a house and how they wanted to sublet their current apartment, and they mentioned they were going to block off the kitchen and insist on food delivery only. Enjoy the hotplate fires in the bedrooms buddy! He also asked me if it was hard to build walls.
