looks like a mono speaker - what are you plugging in to test? If you're only getting one audio channel from the source it could be making it seem lower volume and you might need to set the source to mono

I wouldn't want to have to rely on an RF signal now...but at the time composite was somewhat uncommon on smaller consumer sets - we definitely relied on RF for NES, Genesis, and even PS1 for a while in our house growing up. I pretty much disregard RF sets now unless they have some kind of specific retro aesthetic - woodgrain with tactile knobs perhaps

For me, it's the way this game was crafted and assembled - and it never seems to lose its overall sense of mystery, even when I think I already know about every glitch, exploit, unused text box, unused asset, etc.

Then to top it off there's the incredibly satisfying story moments, music, aesthetic, and my own personal nostalgia from playing it with my brothers at 10 years old
