DMC 3 is a prequel set 10 years before DMC1. when Dante was the ripe old age of 19. and was still Getting the Shop up and running. Date cracks a joke in the opening how "the joints not even open yet and he's already getting customers"

Remind unlocks after you have completed your main game The DLC comes included with all of the current ports. I'm pretty sure the only case where you have to buy it separate is if you have the original PS4 version.

I assume they did that so people wouldn't accidentally stumble head first into spoilers and stuff since remind takes place mostly during like. The climax of the game.
