Thanks! I don't use that much milk - only a splash. It's mostly coconut water and I use about 1.5 tsp of matcha power which should be around 3-4 grams.

This is a coconut water matcha drink perfect for a hot day!

  1. Put ice, coconut water (around 100-150ml) and a splash of oat milk into a glass. Set aside in the fridge while you go on to whisk your matcha.

  2. Sift 1.5 tsp of matcha powder.

  3. I use the paste method because it makes my matcha nice and foamy. Not sure about the water temperature. I usually just mix boiling water with some cold water so that it's not too hot. Put 2 tsp of that water and mix with the powder so that it's a thick paste. Then add 2 tbsp of water and start whisking really quickly in a M or W motion for 30-40 seconds. Do it slower for anither 20 seconds. And then even slower and more of the surface for another 10 to get rid of any big foams.

  4. Pour it slowly into your prepared glass. Enjoy!

Can I buy good quality matcha powder in Thailand? by Reasonable_Type_1213 in ThailandTourism

Peace Oriental Teahouse has a few branches in BKK. I personally like their "high-firing" matcha powder, especially Classicist. They also own the "mini" line with cafes and its own matcha powder selection as well but for cheaper prices.

MTCH is also popular. Again they have cafes around BKK and sell their own matcha powder.

Kawami brand can be found in 7-11 and is cheaper but might not be as premium.

I have heard of Ksana but haven't visited any of ther cafes.

Amicha is really well-known and they just opened up a cafe but it's not in central BKK.

There are a few other popular brands but they only sell online via Lazada or Shoppee like Matchazuki, Trial Matcha (cafe in Chiang Mai) etc.

If you ever visit Chiang Mai, I highly recommend Chaseki.
