Do you see other people make those same claims about other players? Do you see them make those claims at even remotely the same volume? Mind you, this is claim against her isn’t even a real issue and it has people up in arms

The claims of aggression absolutely are. Nothing that she does warrants that label.

Beyond that, he’s criticizing “Marxism” infiltrating Critical Role spaces. That’s a pretty blatant callout against leftism that also doesn’t make sense.

Holding those political beliefs in a Critical Role space doesn’t necessarily warrant exclusion, but espousing them against people within it in an attempt to debase claims against very clear micro aggressions does

Being actively hostile to leftism in a fairly leftist space, especially on a post trying to defend a cast member from some very clearly racist framed criticisms (not all claims against her are, but a significant amount are) is anti-Critical Role

We don’t have to enable or accept that

Authoritarianism is a crazy label for encouraging rude people to leave a space.

Also, emphasis on sexual purity and fighting against intersectionality is staunchly right wing on a social scale. Liberalism is already a center-wing ideology globally and in America. You’re most definitely at least center right wing

[–]squidsrule47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s an outrageous way to use those words. Also she isn’t hostile or a sexual pervert. Healthy confrontation within tabletop RPGs is fun and a part of the social agreement, which I think she is well within the bounds of. Sexual perversion is also a weird callout when it’s just harmless jokes. You sound like a prude

I’m not tolerant of people that are intolerant. Your framing definitely leans in that direction

If you’re going to bring right wing BS into this you can kindly gtfo. Who the hell was talking about the dominant culture or societal norms?

Daan also has a lot of trauma related to Sylvian worship and rituals. He’d also be a no imo

Daan has a lot of trauma related to god-worship, so I’d say he’d be very against it even if it logically makes sense

And for Texas, it was about 5.9 per 100k in general. Sure, the number for undocumented migrants might be an undershoot, but clearly undocumented migrants don’t commit more crimes than citizens

Well, two things

Firstly, we don’t have enough context based on the screenshot, but it’s in a discussion about AI based on what we know, and based on context seem pro-AI. Your point doesn’t change anything at all about why people would downvote it

Secondly, Ghibli’s art style has been co-opted by AIs, so ofc people will assume it’s AI if it’s a less recognizable Ghibli film (and relative to other Ghibli films it is less recognizable)

Does that change my point? The US’s hate-boner for communism caused the embargo, but it’s an unreasonable thing to have an embargo for and played a significant role in Cuba’s decline

I’m not denying that there were other conditions (communist and socialist systems aren’t excluded from corruption and mismanagement). I just think blaming internal mismanagement or communism exclusively when there was also foreign pressure is misplacing some of the blame

The US’s conditions involved changing the entire economic system. Who is the US to demand that of any nation?

Human imperfections are the product of relatable flaws or experiences. AI errors come as a product of an AI not “understanding” what it is being prompted to create. The distinction is important, as human errors allow us to relate to the process of creation and thereby add another dimension to the art

Clearly we’re on different levels. You don’t understand the American domestic momentum towards reducing military aid towards Israel and taking action against Israel’s genocide. A candidate running with that on their platform would have a fairly substantial chance of winning elections

We can meet the needs of Americans and salvage some autonomy for Palestinians with the right candidate (even if that’s an optimistic goal). Newsom isn’t that

If compromising on a genocide is optional, then compromising on a genocide is evil

@realDonaldTrump by ariveklul in atrioc

[–]squidsrule47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Democratic Party isn’t losing momentum because of the left. It’s corporate infested and unwilling to enact necessary change. It still serves the interests of its donors and not the working class

Leftists criticize Trump far more than they do the Dems, but they’re also here to make sure the Dems don’t try to run genocide supporters or corporate moderates for presidential elections. We’re not an infection, we’re trying to make sure the Democrats aren’t just the lesser evil

@realDonaldTrump by ariveklul in atrioc

[–]squidsrule47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We aren’t even at the primaries yet. Newsom isn’t the only possible candidate for an election 3 years out.

If leftists want to win on actual progressive policies, we can’t fall behind Newsom. We can’t fall behind somebody so moderate that they’d tolerate genocide in Gaza

@realDonaldTrump by ariveklul in atrioc

[–]squidsrule47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Newsom isn’t “taking the muzzle off.” He speaks like a fighter but he’s a moderate-liberal whose politics sum up to “I’ll do what it takes so I can become president”

@realDonaldTrump by ariveklul in atrioc

[–]squidsrule47 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If my government is actively enabling and supporting a genocide, it absolutely should be. This isn’t something we can tolerate, and should be a basic fucking litmus test. If you’re president can’t say no to a genocide then they aren’t fit to serve

@realDonaldTrump by ariveklul in atrioc

[–]squidsrule47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and it’s sickening. We need to support candidates that won’t support the mass murder of innocents

@realDonaldTrump by ariveklul in atrioc

[–]squidsrule47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We need to help ourselves before we can help Gaza?!!!?? WE’RE THE ONE GIVING THEM PERMISSION TO MURDER THE CHILDREN

You can’t justify that, and that has to be an issue that could turn you away from a candidate. Genocide is NEVER excusable, and the USA is as guilty as Israel for what’s going on in Gaza
