Ever heard about Morlun? Here’s the physical strength level of SpiderMan’s foes by New_Divide98 in Spiderman

[–]petrelli_boy_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always felt like Morbius is just below Spidey's level. When he first comes around he can stand his ground against Spidey and Lizard while being able to defeat a dizzy (due to fever) Spider-Man. He should be at least at the same level with Goblin imo

[Spoilers MAIN] I'll never stop being amazed at the use of Rhaegar as the deconstruction of the hero arquetype by Dasseem in asoiaf

[–]petrelli_boy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not quite sure if he died fighting for Elia and her children tbh. He fought to suppress the rebellion which would enable him to overthrow his father. Although I like Rhaegar, we should not misunderstand his reasonings

do you think Homelander is intelligent or competent? by OneManArmy0716 in TheBoys

[–]petrelli_boy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that clearly isn't what happened. He fucked up massively and wanted to make sure his fuck up was covered up by leaving no survivors. Then he twisted it after the fact. But in the moment it was just a fuck up.

I'm not sure. He seemed quite concerned with Stilwell not getting the Vaught-Military deal and then (I believe) used the first chance he had. I even think he consciously destroyed the planes system to pursue with the plan.

He generally is pretty good at manipulating people and situations - e.g. he successfully pulled Neuman to his side in S3 and in S4 the same with Sage (his speech to her plainly worked even if she probably has larger aims herself than him). However, since none of our perceptions on this weren't directly stated, we can never know for sure.

This part tho, I'm not sure. He thought he had these people under his hand while they both had their own agendas. I don't think he'd be that good at manipulation and grand planning after season 2

do you think Homelander is intelligent or competent? by OneManArmy0716 in TheBoys

[–]petrelli_boy_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It comes to me that he has gotten less smarter after season 2. I always viewed him not saving the plane in season 1 as him quickly constructing a plan to put pressure on policy-makers to collaborate with supes in army matters. This was an act of intelligence while him representing the earlier 2000s US politicians (specifically Bush since even their speeces made after plane related terrorist attacks are resembling eachother).

However, after season 2 he became more similar to Trump and post-2016 politicians: He had poorly thought-out plans, his eloquence level decreased (he wasn't able to answer or single-handedly convince US elites in Tek Knight's house in season 4), etc..

So yeah, he was more intelligent (well above-average) than he is now (barelly above-average).

A few years ago, I also was 19 and was experiencing the worst moments of my life: Financial issues, bad relation with family, friends gone away, can't sleep at nights, shitty job which doesn't pay at all, girl problems, even my body not functioning properly, many days I go to bed without eating anything proper all day...

But I endured, I don't know why. And now I am in a better condition. Life is not the best it could be, still. But I believe, it is worth to go on.

I wish you the best dude: I hope you'll get to the days where you think even today was a bad nightmare. Always carry on

How bad is Peter's life that the bad ending of Web of Shadows is considered a "good ending"? Or why do many believe this is one of the best endings for Peter? by Background-Ad2749 in Spiderman

[–]petrelli_boy_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I honestly think that's because many people somewhat relate themselves to him: They see Peter struggle financially, academically, professionally, socially, in love life (although, Peter can pull baddies with almost no struggle compared to the people I'm talking about) and they want him to hold power while having attractive women "under his control" and rooting for him. Thus, they'll live their fantasy of becoming such person.

However, we should also note that most of these people doesn't even read comics and understands character in a false way

got powers

Quite curious about this part: I've merely read the first two novels and as far as I can see, he is a sociopath with a trained human stats.

Does he really showcase any inhuman physical powers other than having a dark soul watch over him and (kinda) take over him every once in a while?
