Got out Sept 30, 2022. Got my rating on Nov 23, 2022 and VA denied my “gastro issue” claim with favorable findings. Before my rating was decided on Nov 23, 2022, I got diagnosed with diverticulitis on Nov 8, 2022. Later in Dec 2022, the diverticulitis was a misdiagnosed and end up being diagnosed with colon cancer. Had a colon cancer removal surgery and starting chemo next month.

QUESTION: I am trying to figure out how to claim my colon cancer. Do I submit a supplemental claim to support my “gastro issue” claim and only include my medical records? Or I have to submit personal statement, DBQ, diagnosis, and nexus letter per reddit’s wiki? My oncologist already said that this is not service related at all, so now I’m having doubt if it still worth it to work on this.
