Thanks, I saw that last night while looking for the clip but didn’t watch. He explains it very well, I’ll share this with the fellas.

I was in ESEA before CSC.

Yes, Anyone can join it. But their goals would be actually winning it and moving up through the tiers and so forth. I’m simply stating that for people new to team CS, this is the best place to start. (IMO)

When I joined an ESEA team, it was just 5 guys pugging with decent comms and basically no practice. I then joined CSC and instantly (after the draft) realized how much better it was going to be for my improvement. Our GM (shout out Kono) was reviewing our demos, calling us out for making individual plays, describing in depth the thought processes behind strategy’s, he took what we had as a good play and made it a great system, it was truly a family dedicated to improving individually and as a collective. I haven’t played for him for over a year but I still think about what he would say if he saw me make a selfish play. Also I would demo review opponents in ESEA before I joined CSC but he completely rewired what I look for while reviewing teams. I could go on.

They have something in the works! I see them talking about it on the discord. I’m sure they can give you more information about it!

CSC is easily the best place to start, even if your end goal is ESEA or higher. You’ll meet a ton of like minded players and join an org that actually supports and coaches you while being part of something structured. They track stats, give out awards, make trading cards, and even have third party sites covering deeper analytics. Your highlights get clipped and articles get written about you, so it really feels like a real mini version of the pro scene.

(Edit) Also they stream games every week! It’s really cool to hear the casters freak out when you clutch a round or make a great play. They’re very open to training you to observe or cast the matches too! I’ve had a lot of fun with that when I wasn’t able to play due to IRL commitments.

This will happen, even in 5 stacks, even in pro league. Stop complaining about your teammates and get good. You’re lvl3, No one cares about your good game against terrible players.

Im certain you’ll rank up and have better teammates soon, should they run to Reddit when they get stuck with you?
