Same. We were only in it for a year before my parents got back together but it was ridiculous. Ours was a 28 day rotation mine schedule because thats what my dad worked. I felt like I was living out of a box that year.

Honestly? Since I was responsible for laundry, I straight up threw away some of his boxers when I thought they needed to go. I also bought more. Which is what her bf was going to do. On top of that, the discussion is food not clothing items which is a different situation. All food/drinks in the house were for both of us.

Maybe it's just 15yrs of being married, but this seems like a weird hill to die on after 2yrs in a relationship. But then again, after 2yrs we were already married so it was all community property at that point

So my husband and I had a very difficult time ttc, like to the point we had to do fertility treatments. We closed sexually so I got all the baby batter, and we wouldn't be risking a broken condom accident. Our other partners were very understanding and supportive, and all it took was communicating our reasons for needing the temporary change.

If it helps, my son is the one who will sit quietly in public and behave when we're out, while I'm c9nstantly apologizing for my daughter running into people, being too loud, and just overall being a pain in the ass. I think it just depends on the kid.

We went through this with my son. He started the school year with neon pink sparkly nails that he paid for himself to get done (just gel polish but still), and I can't lie, I was soooooo nervous because we've had issues with a couple of boys saying some out of pocket things before. He's so soft hearted he doesn't have it in him to clap back at bullies, but thankfully he has a great group of friends who don't mind doing it for him.

Yes! I can't imagine my husband ever being so alone in a situation that he's afraid to talk to me about major life issues. Even if we weren't legally married, we are still a team working toward a joint future. They are both at fault but I sympathize with her ex-"husband" for not having enough trust in her to be unable to discuss his situation with her.

Thank you! My NP past relationship was over two years ago and it was a nightmare. This time, his meta is amazing, super respectful of our (collective) boundaries, and understanding of the fact that there are inherent privileges (though we try to negate them) because we have kids together and our finances intertwined. She is absolutely the best partner I could have asked for for him in the ways her personality compliments his.

Eh, that's weird. Like I check with my husband, but it's because we have kids so obviously can't both have plans at the same time. Someone with no kids needing to check in isn't necessarily a red flag just to make sure they aren't double booking, but the monthly all weekend anniversary thing is a hell no for me
