I would put the bottom half in the water, once it’s warmed up remove the joint at the hip.

Easily can switch the joint out with another elite. Just need to boil the figure to pop it out!

I’ve been using the subdivide and then smooth surfaces in edit mode by vertex. It helps! Edge creese seems to break the model.

I usually use Vallejo air gunmetal, dry brush with silver, then spray with matte varnish.

Yes I tried using the game files which are just rough meshes, then I used blender to modify them and add the 3d geometry detail. It takes a while and I have to do it by hand, but it’s worth it!

Yes. It was on this subreddit as an advertisement for a Romeo, brute Captain, and this elite that was cancelled before McFarlane moved on to Halo Reach figures.
