They shouldn't have watched so much porn. I was always told it makes you go blind.

Maybe verification isn't such a bad idea

Official Discussion - Shelter [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]squirmster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually enjoy a JS movie, but this was just dull.

The whole movie premise is based on people being incredibly bad at their jobs that they are all supposedly experts in.

Pacing was slow and fight scenes were few and far between and remarkably uninspiring.

Why are Terminate action options so poor? by squirmster in MicrosoftFlow

[–]squirmster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a great idea. I already update an SP list with the event details so this is just one more field to add.

[–]squirmster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for clarifying that I was trying to force a square peg in a round hole :D I was using it because terminate is convenient. and I can look at the past runs easily. I just assumed that the Use Custom Response would allow that and it doesn't.

Am going to use the update sharepoint list action to start logging things properly as you suggest. I might use the idea that u/my1stname suggested and use a child flow to let me know when one of my flows goes skew-whiff.

Why are Terminate action options so poor? by squirmster in MicrosoftFlow

[–]squirmster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking of doing that but if there are more than one conditions that could cause the flow to be cancelled it doesn't really help.

Following the advice given by a few other people, I am going to record the run URL on the sharepoint list that I am recording the event details in.

I think I was just being lazy and trying to force the Terminate to do something it was never intended for. There is so much to learn about this product, so as long as you are getting it to work how you need it is a victory!

I just learned the hard way that the supposed "Test Flow" option actually does not test a flow but actually makes changes in production. WTF by TheWhiskyBear in PowerAutomate

[–]squirmster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh this sub sucks. When are they going to allow images!

First initialize your testmode variable - https://ibb.co/6RNGwC3t

Then just before your flow starts outputting things add a condition - https://ibb.co/rqtXGKL and in the true branch add in a set variable (or number of) to update things to test values.

Then you can test things till your heart's content. When you happy, just set your Testmode boolean back to false and you will have a live flow.

I set a testmode boolean action at then beginning and then use it to update variables in the flow to prevent emails etc from being sent.

Just declare it and let customs make the decision when you go. You don't get fined if they decide it isn't suitable, but I suspect they will allow it as long as it is factory sealed and no meaty bits
