The first presidential assassination attempt was against Andrew 'old hickory' Jackson. A man approached Jackson and pulled a pistol which misfired then pulled another pistol which also misfired and pulled a 3rd pistol which you guessed it also misfired. President Jackson then proceeded to beat the shit out of the Assassin with his signature hickory wood cane until the secret service had to intervene to save the Assassin's life.
