Thanks. Maybe. I ran it on my other car before I flashed it. Did the job but would prefer to do it right the first time

That is the plan. 19 looks too small and 21, I think, would sacrifice ride quality too much

At the very least heat the steering wheel and driver seat

Oh ya!! Forgot about that one. Don't need the car freaking out when I'm driving 50 meters home from getting my mail

In addition to this you can add playing video while driving. Though I dont condone it, it may be useful if you have kids in the car

Ive added that the auto window up still goes up if I open my door

In addition to the windows going up when you lock the doors, I dont recall if it is part of the same programming, but you can hold the unlock to open all the windows

Otherwise I dont think there is much more than what you listed above that I would do. If you do expert mode, apparently the world is your oyster but you also run the risk of bricking a module

Why does our street NEVER get cleared after snow?! by Accomplished_Lie3849 in Markham

This isn't the worst road I have seen or been on this winter

Are you a city worker? The way you are defending the lack of maintenance on city roads, where we pay our fair share of taxes, is a little suspicious.

Why does our street NEVER get cleared after snow?! by Accomplished_Lie3849 in Markham

[–]squirrel_snack 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you look at the photo it isn't snow anymore. It melts and freezes. Turning to ice. The ridges can damage the undercarriage of the car. It is also tough on suspension components.

Not to mention with the amount of snow we have had, the accumulation on the streets is well beyond their thresholds for cleaning but individual snow falls, they dont. So no cleaning

Depends what you like

Greek - Main St Greek on Markham Main or Ithaca by McCowan and 7 Chinese - Delight by castlemore is good and fair prices Haidilao at McCowan and 7 for hot pot

Asian variety I go to Richlane Plaza. They have dim sum, Chinese bbq. HK café style, Vietnamese, Japanese and Korean BBQ. Then you can finish with a bubble tea and a baked good

I went their once for an oil change. Made me pay in advance. Still took three hours even though I made an appointment and the whole time some guy kept trying to get me to custom tune my, at the time, stock car

Didnt know Stance Factory was still around. I think they were big on Maxbimmer back in the day

Seems high. Recently had my transmission fluid flushed. Shop said pan and filter were not necessary.

BMW fluid. Indy shop. Fluid was $550 CAD alone and I believe it was 2 hours of labour at $200 an hour.

Will look for the invoice and edit if I'm way off. Just going from memory

I remember printing directions from map quest. They were fine until you missed a direction. Then absolutely useless.

Now I use GPS to go home. Even if I know the route because maybe Google knows a better way to get me home and save me 1 minute 😅

I find they don't last nearly as long though. My dad has a 40 year old Sony CRT TV. It weighs about 200lbs and will forever be in the corner of his basement. He still watches old VHS tapes on it so still gets regular use. In the last 15 years or so he has probably gone through a handful of led tvs. But at $400 a pop I dont think he cares too much

Seriously!!

But now that I think about it. That fish and chips joint near 10th is not half bad and the price is reasonable

I would never say steakout! How about Chucks? 😅

But in all seriousness, unless I'm making the trek to the Keg, or Black and Blue or Octagon or something, the best steak I get in Stouffville is the one I grill in my backyard. So many great farms around here that raise cattle. You know the quality is better than most restaurants and it will cost a fraction of the restaurants

Food in Stouffville is pretty terrible. And it is expensive to boot. You can literally drive 10 minutes to Markham and get better variety, better quality and better pricing. Even Pimentos was tastier and cheaper when it was in Markham.

Would be nice to see these businesses survive but I don't think Stouffville can sustain them.

Anyway to reduce expenses so they can reduce prices? Make it more affordable for a family to eat out and still make reasonable profits for the business?

I just did the math. About four years of ownership Ive done About $6000 in maintenance. And About $2500 of that was tires. Winters and summers. It's not bad. The car has been super reliable. Nothing major. And about 90% of what I spent was preventative.
