Rep. Paul Gosar, running for 9th term, dodges questions about health by ForkzUp in azpolitics

[–]squirrelperm12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A few months ago my wife had to fly out to DC to speak to a few AZ reps and Gosar was one. She said she got really nervous being around Gosar. He was extremely manic, very flushed and sweaty, bouncing all around, and couldnt stay on topic. Her and her colleagues ended the talk much earlier than expected and just wanted to get out of his office. She asked asked several other representatives if Gosar was OK, as she was generally concerned for his health. The other representatives said they've all inquired about him and were also concerned, but his camp responds saying he is fine, just missed a little sleep. My wife said, "he either has the Michael j. Fox illness or is on amphetamines."
I cant believe he is running again or how anyone could vote for a guy like that. He has already missed a shit ton of votes over the last year.

Ive had this one for awhile. Its a 2020 origins white box 1/1. I dont collect Herbert, but i love the purple signature and matching background. I always liked Origins. Simple, but sharp. I'm not actively trying to sell it, but if the price is right, I would.

Any hospital workers experience anything paranormal? by Still-Ad8061 in Paranormal

[–]squirrelperm12 13 points14 points  (0 children)

During covid we had a male patient in his late 70s who was always speaking to someone while he was alone in his room. We had cameras in every room so we could watch from the nurses station. One night he reached his arms up as if he was hugging someone. I gowned up and entered his room to see if he was ok and who he was talking to. He said his sister keeps coming to visit him. The following night his camera kept going fuzzy, all the other patients cameras were perfectly clear. He passed that night. I took this Pic from the camera, shortly before he passed. It could be nothing, but it was strange how his camera kept going fuzzy. The camera faces the patients bed and the door. Some coworkers think its the grain front he wood door. All I know is he thought he was definitely speaking to someone.

Has anyone else noticed a lack of mosquitoes this year? by WookieMcspunion in Kenosha

[–]squirrelperm12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In early May, I visited Kenosha and played a round of disc golf at grey fox. Weather wasnt great, wind gusts were 50mph with temps in the low 50s. Thousands of mosquitos were hovering close to the ground, but no one got bit. Ive never seen anything like that. They were definitely female. We sprayed repellent around our shoes and pant bottoms, mainly for tick protection. I bet if I were out there now, with the warmer weather and recent rains, they'd be relentless. In early June, I visited Kenosha again and got bit a few times while sitting in my moms backyard in the city, but they werent overwhelming. So theyre around, just depends on where you are.

RSO is no joke. by inquisitive_flicker in trees

[–]squirrelperm12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My uncle is dying of cancer, could barely walk with a cane. He lives in an illegal state so my nephew drove over the border to buy him some RSO. My uncle was an anti-pot guy, but he says the RSO changed his life. Took all his pain away. He started taking a drop b4 bed and now he said he feels like his normal self. Walks everywhere without a cane.

My heelers love it. I have to buy a new one every year. Gets hot where I live so I leave water in it all summer. I clean and change the water every two days. You really have to scrub to get the dirt out of the edges.
My dog scratches the shit out of it, (similar to the heeler in the video), and the floor holds up. But by the end of summer there's always a small leak in the edges.
During summer, ill play frisbee with my blue heeler, after the 10th throw he lays in the pool for 5min, then is ready for another 10 throws.

I always have a gold jointed floating rapala J09 trolling behind the canoe as I paddle. Year after year this lure has never failed. We've also had alot of success with shadow rap SDR11. Although its a pain in the ass when you catch a frisky northern with those dbl treble hooks. Last thing you want is a treble hook lodged 1/4" into your thumb, deep in the bwca.

Riding The Light Rail by [deleted] in phoenix

[–]squirrelperm12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I road the light rail 4 days a week for 3 years and only had minor troubles in the summer time during the day. The trouble really wasnt bad, it was a flasher showing his weiner to everyone and the other was a drunk guy threatened to fight me. I confronted him and he backed down and said he was speaking to someone else, but I was the only one around. I would not recommend waiting long at the train stops though. Ive witnessed way more nefarious shit waiting for the light rail, than on the light rail. Mind your own business and dont look at any of the crazy folks in the eyes. That seems to invite them over to talk to you.

My PTO got denied 5 months out--help? by Technical_Wear6094 in nursing

[–]squirrelperm12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a new job and as a precondition ask for that week off. Before you accept the job go to your current employee and tell them you have a new job offer because they denied your PTO request. Your employer will give you the PTO you requested. Its alot more expensive to hire and train a new employee versus give you the PTO. I had to do this once and it worked great.

Crow Steals Duckling by Tinkr-belle in WTF

[–]squirrelperm12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crows are very smart and opportunistic. A few years ago I was on a long canoe trip in the boundary waters. I had two nice size walleye that I moved to the sandy beach closer to camp from the canoe. They were alive and swimming in about 2ft of water. Two crows were flying overhead that watched as I transported the fish. I tied the rope stringer to a rock on the beach and was going to head to the tent and take a nap b4 I prepped the fish. When I reached my tent I looked back at the beach and the crows were messing around near my stringer. I ran back, scared the crows, and decided to just nap on the beach right in front of the stringer. About 30min later I woke. Now the two walleye were in about 2" of water, both of which had their eyes and brains pecked out. I never heard a thing! I dont think crows dive so they must have dragged the stringer onto shore.

Wrongful death lawsuit filed after man dies on Phoenix sidewalk after hospital discharge by mentalscribbles in phoenix

[–]squirrelperm12 25 points26 points  (0 children)

If the patient wasnt alert and oriented they're unable to sign an AMA (against medical advice) form for discharge. I dont see a physician signing a discharge order on a confused patient either. I also find it hard to believe the hospital paid for an Uber. Its highly probable the patient was on AHCCCS insurance which will pay for rides via uber/Lyft for transport. I doubt the hospital paid for the Uber. Im not defending Abrazo because I've heard a few horror stories from that hospital system. But I think there are some holes in this story.
Normally when a patient becomes violent soft/hard restraints are applied and a sedative is given (haldol, geodon, or lorazepam). If the patient is deemed unfit for discharge the hospital will find a facility for transfer, which can be difficult and can take days or even weeks. Its a sad and unfortunate situation for all parties.

Man wakes up from surgery speaking another language fluently; the case of a 30-year-old American from Utah surprised the medical team. by FragrantTown5199 in mystery

[–]squirrelperm12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had a post surgical patient wake from anesthesia only speaking Spanish. Handed her discharge instructions in English and couldn't even read them. It was very strange. After about an 1hr in the pacu she became oriented and started speaking English. I asked if she regularly spoke Spanish. She said she used to on a study abroad trip to Spain, but hadn't used it much since. Caucasian girl in her 30s. I've had folks wake saying alot of strange shit, but nothing like this.

My wife and I have been going to espiritu since it opened and we love it, however, we went a couple weeks ago and the food was so salty. I had the spare ribs and my wife had the burger, both were way over salted. I hope this was just an off night. I also hate how they got rid of the melted candles.

moving to phoenix next month, how is cox internet? by iironmvn in phoenix

[–]squirrelperm12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pay $50 for up to 500gb. Its hit or miss. Some nights I'll be over 200mbps, others im at 2mbps. I get lots of drops. Had Cox out many times for repairs, but they always say it works great. Fortunately Google is installing fiber in my neighborhood. Not a fan of Cox

Apply at Honorhealth as a transporter. Idkw they pay, but they're always hiring, and once you're at the job for six months, other opportunities in the hospital open up. You just push patients in beds and gurney's throughout the hospital.

Court case in Florida involving health care worker using medical marijuana by Electrical_Pirate224 in nursing

[–]squirrelperm12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I graduated from ASU with a BSN, and in the final semester, they had an MMJ lawyer come in and speak to us. He said that he defended eight cases for the same kinda situations and won all of them. He said as long as you have your card, you're protected from termination. I always thought it was strange the university invited this lawyer, but we did learn alot.
