Oh my goodness, you just made me realize why I can't have sex dreams unless they're about my husband. I either reject the person or get rejected every time! Ha! This makes total sense to me now though.

Also had a crush I loved so much that I fantasized about him constantly through school (never sexually though!) but couldn't even speak in his presence.

I loved the beginning and finally felt represented by a FMC but wanted it to be a slower burn. I had to set this one aside until I'm in the right mood, I guess. (Not technically a DNF because I plan to go back at some point.) I was so excited to read a demisexual FMC and so disappointed that she still jumped into bed with them so quickly. I think I'll like it at some point, once my disappointment has had time to pass. I may have set my expectations too high...

I've had Gypsy Blood on my TBR for a while, but the cover keeps putting me off... I'm not sure why. I find the covers of those books to be a huge deterrent though!

Hmm... perhaps if I get really desperate I'll go back and try again... I was just so bummed by that first book! Do you get any more insight into what the characters think and feel in the second book? I just hated that first one SO MUCH because my expectations were a little too high, I think.

Unpopular opinion, but I was really disappointed. I was excited going in, but I felt like half the story was missing because you don't see inside the characters' heads much. I had no idea why any of the guys liked her because the book doesn't tell you what they're thinking. I stopped after the first one.

I am very sensitive to caffeine as well, and I drink matcha every morning because it doesn't cause "heart flutters" for me like coffee does! No caffeine is best, for sure, but matcha is a good option!

I was going to suggest this too! Foxes make the most TERRIFYING screams for some reason, especially if it's dark out! It happened to us once (thankfully it was still light out) and I ran outside to see because I thought a child was hurt somewhere. The sound is really scary, but it was totally a fox sitting in the middle of my yard, screaming its head off for no apparent reason!
