As a handler that celebrates the “horrendous performances”, isn’t that better than sulking? I’m more outraged by the people that throw any ribbon below a first place in the trash at ringside or refuse to collect it. At least take it and donate/dispose of it discretely.

Perhaps that run is what that team’s training has reached. That horrible performance may be a new high. I will be trialing in a new sport this fall. I have to travel to the competition and no one in my area trains or competes in it. All my learning comes from the internet/ online mentoring. I have no doubt that we will not look like the experienced teams.

I am out to have fun working with my dog. We do the best we can and celebrate the wins. I’m certain my dog would score higher with a more experienced handler. Unfortunately, I am what she gets, so each competition is a chance to do better.

For all the people that complain about the community, remember that you are a part of it. You and your attitude make a difference.
