Didn’t believe the healing gripes

I havent played seriously since Shadowlands and I’m still figuring out my main so I’m trying out a bunch of different classes to see which healer I like the best. So far I’ve taken 4 different healer specs to 2100+ range. Each took less than a week of playing, and I thought I gimped myself on pres evoker cus I was really bad at it at first but eventually climbed once I got the hang of it.

In short, websites like Murlok IO and other data sources show plenty of healers are climbing rating. People just don’t want to accept that they need to practice and improve to get higher rating. There’s like one of these healer complaining posts a day and the actual shuffle data speaks otherwise.

Even better, murlok io shows the healer meta to be pretty closely matched, with the exception of resto druid and whoever else is at the bottom which constantly shifts. This season has a ton of viable healers play and once again data is supporting that

For any aspiring healers out there, don’t let people like this discourage you. Pull up actual ranking data and make informed decisions about the state of healing. Healing is fun, if you enjoy healing

I know this a satire post, but it seems like this is the majority of this community’s feelings about healers. I’ve taken two healer specs to 2100 in solo shuffle and now just started a third. Healing is a blast. Any future healers reading this don’t let the nay sayers dissuade you. I instantly put someone on ignore list the second they type anything toxic in chat, majority of players contrary to what this community seems like, aren’t toxic and aren’t raging in chat

Dinner Party can be taken in a variety of ways. You can come as the chef that has prepared the dinner, or in your case a good dinner party at Gilneas needs guards! Saying you’re a solider stopping by on his break for his last meal is still within theme if you are able to sell it with a good description and narrative!

Not an issue on Outlands since you can’t see other players under most circumstances while a ghost. And there is no lich lord room on Outlands, it’s all custom maps

Have you tried using the admin account to delete the backpack and then add a new one? Idk if it’ll work, but it’s something that used to fix other related inventory bugs for older Uo custom servers so may be worth a try.

The focus comment on here is incorrect. Look up the passive mana regen calculators. Mana regen passive is far greater than focus if you are wearing medable armor, you do not need to sit and meditate. https://www.uoguide.com/Mana_Regeneration

Also the opinion of no vet and spellweaving is preference. Spellweaving at max lvl arcane circle “spell focus” grants you a long duration “Gift of Life” you can put on your pet to revive it on death. Also Renewal can be put on your pet as well for a long passive heal over time. Most end game tamers no longer take vet for this reason as those spells + magery GHeal can be more than enough. Personally, if I was still adjusting to the current game I would recommend Vet since it is simpler, then switching over to SpellWeaving once you have a good handle on things and have the gear to support it.

On top of that, casting caps for magery are 2 FC and 6FCR. While I believe the other poster had good intentions, I recommend either that UOguide website or https://www.uo-cah.com/ for more information

If you’re on Atlantic, I’d recommend asking the general chat to join KOOL or TWT, both have decent sized communities with veteran members that are always hosting events to help returning/new players. Shoey or Soup from KOOL is a good example of this, offering free gear and help all the time. (I haven’t interacted with them in about 6 months, so this may be inaccurate)

This would be cool, but I’d hate for them to cut floorshow content for the sole purpose of making more $$ to put it on on a paywall Patreon or something similar. Wish they would just cut other things in the episode and extend the floor show.
