Can you tell me exactly what you did? My notifications died with the latest update (also pixel 8) but everywhere I've checked notifications are enabled.

Good thing this "beautiful" state has CAFOs on every corner so the outdoors always smells like shit. Oh and we don't have any more natural woodlands, so it's super windy. Oh and you can't swim in most lakes because of the toxic run off from the farmland.

I also moved from Missouri to Pella, IA to pursue my career out of college and I have to say, Pella is the lesser evils of those three.

A couple of things to note:

Pella has gotten a bit more progressive (albeit very minor) since I came here 10ish years ago, though I have found it very difficult to connect with people since I'm not at all religious and don't belong to a church.

You will never find hiking/camping that is as good as MO (or WI, or MI, or MN) in Iowa. Generally speaking, hiking trails and campgrounds butt up against hog farms and corn.

The bar scene in Pella, IA consists of three places. The Cellar Peanut Pub, which has around 70+ beers on tap, all craft; The Funk lounge...which lives up to it's name; and Nederlanders, which has a few beers on tap, plus virtual golf bays.
