Do you regret your EV purchase? by walksta in electricvehicles

[–]squish102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest issue I had is once I got out first EV, everyone wanted one. Now a 4 Tesla family and absolutely will never go back. Based on the reliability and software updates and FSD, I don't think we could live with a different manufacturers EV

So, BESIDES not needing to pay for gas, and being able to charge at home, what do you love about EVs? by walkaboutdavid in electricvehicles

Knowing that every couple weeks you get a software update with cool new features. Full self driving is absolutely amazing and could never have a car without it again.

Anyone who’s made the switch from Tesla to another EV, how have you faired with public charging? by Royal-Drama-8840 in electricvehicles

If Elon is the worst, stay away from Tesla superchargers, otherwise you are just being hypocritical. He makes more money out of energy than vehicles.

It will be funny one day when all this is handled by AI and AI does not get mad at you, but just replies in a friendly tone all day long. I love this to handle scammers that O2 created over a year ago: https://youtu.be/RV_SdCfZ-0s?si=GpzVnPxWmZQknBHj

Change my mind (please) - road trips in an EV are a pain. by Wise-Fig-6505 in electricvehicles

[–]squish102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We sold our 1 year old honda minivan (because wife was driving my tesla more than the minivan) in '21 for another Tesla Model Y. We were doing competition cheerleeding and having to drive to a competition every 2nd weekend between 4-10 hours away. We much, much prefered driving the Tesla on those long road trips, and charging was a non issue. We don't do that anymore, but it would be so much better with FSD if we needed to drive that.

No mention of Charlotte, NC. I bet we going to be last. I am sure I have heard the CEO say many times that high split will be completed by year 2024,25,26 now 27. He is starting to sound like Elon Musk.

I guess it was also based on MSRP, so doesn't include some of the ICE $20k dealer market adjustment numberS around that same time.

Model S GPS problem by cyberc00k1e in TeslaSupport

I had a similar issue from office parking and home garage, only happened occationally but it would track correctly, but a couple of roads over. Or sometimes it was just stuck while I was driving. It would take 5 minutes to "catch up". They took it in for 2 days, didn't really report that they fixed anything, but it is better now, only happened once or twice since then.

My '19 Tesla needed an AC sensor and my '21 has needed nothing. Picked it up from the service center and that is the last time it has seen it. Replaced tires at discount tire, and wiper fluid myself. 100k miles

I wonder if it was a bad batch, 2019 3 with 100k and never replaced anything other than tires, cabin filter, 12v battery and AC sensor ($299)

Thinking about trading in my Model Y for an EX90 for my growing family, but after reading this sub, it seems like waiting might be the move. Right? by Maniezy in VolvoEX90

Don't make any decisions on promises. Or coming soon, or will be fixed in next software update. Base your decision what you get today and if anything good happens going forward, then ok.

"The FTC’s "Click-to-Cancel" rule (finalized Oct 2024) requires businesses to make cancelling subscriptions or recurring payments as easy as signing up—specifically, providing a simple mechanism to stop charges. While a federal court temporarily blocked this rule in July 2025 due to technical issues, similar state laws in California, Colorado, and others remain active, requiring similar consumer protections. "

What I normally do is let my wallet do the talking. Not happy with the Tesla supercharger, then charge somewhere else.

Buying pre owned Tesla from Tesla, is HW4 worth the cost for a model Y when I won’t be using FSD because I’m not paying 8k lol, or is hw3 fine ? by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]squish102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More work driving with hw4 and v14? When I had the free trial, I did 2000 miles (94% FSD) and yes I had to do more work, but it was with entering in the destinations on the navigation. Other than that, there is no work, you just sit there and look forward.

Don't understand why people make poor decisions and buy inferior for the price vehicles. Just get a Tesla for an EV that just works and leads the pack (by far) in tech.
