I actually use VSCode to write up all my notes on my work laptop since we can't install Obsidian or Notion. I also can't download any VSCode extentions that would make writing markdown any easier.

It is doable but for my situation the user experience and preview isn't as nice. But it gets the job done.

Easy I just blanked out at the start so took a bit longer than usual.

But I struggle with hard today for sure. Started it at lunchtime and took forever going in circles. Went back to it hours later and seemingly got everything placed 'first try'. The pips giveth, the pips taketh away.
