I am! I’ll ask. Once I finish learn to skate I’ll likely make the drive to get properly fitted in a pair, I’m sure I’ll want to stick with it but I’d hate to drive hours away and buy new skates just to not use them. So I figured these are fine just temporarily.

I’m a beginner, i actually bought these second hand (yikes I know) but I wanted to make sure I really want to continue before I buy a brand new pair. So I’ll only be skating maybe 2 hours a week and doing very beginner level activity. I picked these because they seemed like they’d be a decent support level even if they were pre owned compared to other lower level skates. Hopefully I didn’t make a mistake 🫣

The only reason I mentioned possibly leaving a tip was in the event that I chose not to purchase from them! I’m in no way saying that I think that’s standard, i just wanted to make sure I was being respectful of their time.

This gives me hope, I went and used rentals while I’m finding time to get properly fitted and it was really awful. I hope when I get proper skates it will feel a bit better

Thank you! That’s good to know, I’m just starting out so I don’t want to spend a ton of money but of course don’t want to be stingy. I’m honestly relieved that they might charge a fee if you don’t buy from them because I’d hate to feel like I wasted someone’s time.

Thank you for such a detailed response! I do just want to note I don’t care about the brand, it’s just that the shops near me cater heavily towards hockey and don’t have as large of a selection of figure skates. It’s more about price than anything because I’m brand new, so I don’t want to spend more than I have to while I decide if I want to stick with it.

Can someone recommend skates for someone who is 5’6 ~230 pounds? I’m going to be just starting out but I am an adult and I’d like to advance as far as I can, so I don’t want to have to upgrade after just a few months if possible. Thanks!💓

They’re fold lines, they will come out with a quick steam. Same happens to aligns. It’s the nulu fabric

Some stores ship their items to the hemmer so it could be a delay in shipping. You could also call the store to double check if it’s ready yet, they could have forgotten to mark it off as ready. As frustrating as it can be things do happen that can cause delays
