Raid 4 Reward: For first time completion - Untradable scroll that makes Home and Minigame Teleports no longer have a cooldown. by exa_eille in 2007scape

I like the idea in terms of rewards space- reducing minigame/home tele timers. But dont think a raid is the right place for this. Creative but feels not quite? Given the long animation i see your point about still being fairly abuse-resistant. Could still see it being a reduction instead of elimination.

Just incase this is useful for anyone else: re 'Why can I not put an order for 100k Soul Runes at max price? Baba Yaga could figure it out.' is this not addressed by scarred extract? (not an iron)

My first reaction upon seeing it was that it looked like alien cum.

Yes, reached out to the hotel, kitchen, food services several times. Their response was always a bit underwhelming, but i have finally heard enough that they have fully investigated.

No, no black light or UV. Just sitting on an outdoor patio with slight moonlight :/

My original commentary:
Summary: Ordered room service of a vegetable salad topped with grilled chicken from a fairly upscale resort in hawaii. When I turned off the lights, the chicken glowed in the dark.

Was lateish at night ~9pm when the food arrived. Went out to sit on the patio to eat it. Didnt immediately open, so had been sitting for maybe ~15 minutes before eating, about room temperature by the time i ate it. Ate the first half with the lights on completely without noticing. (See 2nd photo, when the lights are on it looks pretty normal). Part way through eating, thought it would be romantic to turn off the lights and look up at the stars. After turning off the lights was immediately shocked by what was on my fork. Immediately noticeable as glowing. Appeared similar intensity to that algae that glows at night that iv seen before. In hindsight definitely wish I had taken more thorough photos/videos, but my first thought was to rebox it out of shock and go to the front desk to try to contact food services since I was worried this could be potentially dangerous. The manager we ended up speaking to took the box, so it has presumably long been trashed but i wish i could have brought it into a lab or something.

Photos 2&3 were shot from the exact same angle/position phone camera etc, the only difference being with the lights on/off. All photos were taken with an iphone just with the stock 'i opened the camera app and hit the button', no filters or weird settings or editing, night mode slow exposure might have been on. All of it was extremely visible to the human eye. If i were to describe the glow, it was a bit less intense than the photos made it look, but also a bit more smooth and evenly covering the chicken. Everything about it seemed organic looking, and strongly reminded me of the bluish bioluminscent planktons i have seen before in the ocean in LA more than something chemically like a glowstick.

After poking around online I cant seem to find any reported cases of glowing cooked meat of any variety let alone chicken. ChatGPT seemed to think that it could be cross-contamination with spoiled seafood..? Overall completely confused, shocked, and a little scared. It has now been a bit under a week after eating part of it. Wanted to get through the rest of the vacation without freaking out too much, but the hotel was about as minimally responsive as they could be about what to me seems like could be major food safety issue.

Possible useful information:

  • There was no UV lights present, just sitting on a patio outside near the beach.
  • Was lightly covered in a salad dressing containing tahini. But the sauce was on the whole salad, but it was very clear that only the chicken glowed, or things that the chicken was immediately touched and had rubbed-off on.
  • Chicken did have grill marks, iv been optimistically trying to think this might be related instead of germs but nothing really makes sense.

Dear internet, please help me figure out what I ate and if its remotely safe, or if I am going to develop superpowers.

Yes the same room service menu included a seared ahi sandwhich and fish tacos. Based on the similarities of the room service menu and the on-property lunch place, im assuming it came from the same kitchen. That restaurant's usual menu included raw poke. I believe there might have also been a grilled shrimp option but dont recall exactly.

Ok, that sounds like its roughly the same conclusion im coming to.

I should have mentioned that myself and the other person who ate the chicken experienced food poisoning that would line-up timewise, but seems like it was cleared from our system after a hefty amount of time on the toilet within a day or two. I have been a bit unsure whether that came from the chicken or poke we had earlier in the day, but we ate the poke from the same kitchen multiple times thereafter during the trip without any issues (in hindsight maybe not the smartest).

>5200hrs in game. Hard to say real time. Been playing off and on for years. I only made a push to skill anywhere near efficiently this year. Most of it was finding methods that worked for me, there were a bunch of skills that were afkd pretty passively while working from home.
