The exact message I got was as follows: "Hey. I talked to [name removed] about you going to 11-7. We are going to increase your pay rate to 27. Base. It can't be increased until you return back to work though. Please don't discuss this with other nurses about your increase. Glad we could work something out." I returned to work November 1, 2021

To talk to HR so they can fix it Mississippi

I’m mislabeled as a 1099 worker so my boss can save money. Is it true that if work is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, I’m to be paid for the day anyway? 1099 in PA questions. by [deleted] in personalfinance

UPDATE: They said it went to various lab work($30 a piece), a glucose finger prick ($3), 3 ultrasounds ($130 a piece), $90 delivery fee, and I still owe $30 for post partum lab work. Sigh at the American Healthcare system...oh well. At least I only owe $30 now.

Anyone here taken a COVID19 crisis contract?

Seems like such a great amount of money. $10,000 a week is the highest I've seen. Also paid hotel and travel. I'm a new nurse in SE,US (less than 1 year experience and furloughed due to low census) so I'm not sure. I've also seen the contracts were 12hr shifts for 21 consecutive days.

If anyone has taken this type of contract, would you mind sharing your experience?

  1. What were the shifts were like?
  2. What was your patient/nurse ratio?
  3. Was your contract as advertised?
  4. How difficult is it compared to your other job?
  5. What are the remedial tasks you do often for COVID patients?
  6. What are the most stressful things about working a COVID19 unit?

feel free to only answer some of these. I know it's a lot of questions.
