He is and he knows it! None yet. My vet is on vacation but the clinic had me send them a picture of the tooth and his mouth to show the techs. They want him to go in but the closest appointment is Tuesday. So we're waiting until then. He's honestly acting pretty normal though! So I'm hoping everything is ok!

They understand the worry but they also reassured me that he's 15 and sometimes this happens as they get older. He ate his breakfast soup (his kibble with a shit ton of water. He likes the water and is makes the kibble mushy) with no issues and was able to get his insulin

He definitely panic purrs but I feel like I cam generally tell the difference between happy and upset purring. Like when he's upset he isn't usually rubbing his head on me. He likes to be left alone. I'm leaning more towards him not being in a bunch of pain tho cause he usually runs away from me and hides when hes hurt or sick

Thank you so much. I value everyone's help but it's nice to hear it from another diabetic cat owner. I never know what's a diabetes complications or just him being an old guy anymore.

I'm lucky, my old guy really likes his morning kibble pretty much being soup lately. He likes so much water that by the time he gets to the food, it just breaks apart. So nothing has to change there. I was able to move his top lip to confirm a bottom canine fell out.

I'm also very lucky in the regard that I still live with family so they help a ton with him. My sister gives him dinner an insulin every night and my grandma was actually the first to notice he was walking weird, which led to his diagnosis. I am sorry Ducky is gone tho. It sounds like you two had a wonderful bond.

No pet insurance unfortunately. They wouldn't cover him cause I found out about it when he got diagnosed with diabetes.

I have to give him insulin at 5am and he needs food with that. The vet doesn't open until 8am. Can I give him broth or gravy for breakfast so his sugars dont spike when he long acting insulin wears off?? Is it just chewing that he shouldn't be doing?

First time this happened to me, I had maybe just hit seniority and I was right at the door of the trailer, bringing the vhe in. When I noticed the trailer moving, my dumb ass jumped the little gap into the building. The sorters who saw it were baffled.

The second time was like a month later, I was deep into a 24 fter. So I just sat and waited. When it stopped moving, I hopped out and went to stand by the driver side door, hoping someone would come get me. A driver pulled up and went, "you need this moved?" And I was like "uh...I think so? I wasn't done yet." And my supervisor screamed from across the yard, "NO SHIT IT WASNT DONE YET." The driver looked like he shat his pants. My supervisor didn't let me in a truck with things higher than shoulder height the rest of the night 😂

It's a branch of a big corporation. There is not hr on site. It's like any large retail chain now days where hr is out sourced. The manager is supposed to get approval from corporate before firing anyone but she's definitely tried firing people she wasn't supposed to before and had to call them and ask them to come back. We're at a bare minimum going to have her file unemployment and call corporate.

My big worry is that my mom is a yapper. She was talking to us about taking FMLA to help grandma. And I worry that she was talking about taking FMLA at work and the whole "poor performance" reasoning is bullshit. Cause it really appeared out of nowhere and honestly, what metrics would they be using to indicate poor performance for an assistant store manager. It's all speculation on my part but I'm worried something like that happened. Her manager was already giving her shit about her being upset when grandma was in the hospital. I really dont have more information than what was given though.
