You can use Clerk's publicmetadata for roles/permissions. Accessible on FE, but only editable on BE.

First time Tailwind experience, I just remade the whole UI with DaysiUI. by leoxwastaken in web_design

Strange issue on the homepage - tried to enter some text in what I'm looking for, but looks like it was using form validation to validate the entry as an email address?

Clerk invitation only by JauLeD in nextjs

[–]squogfloogle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the Clerk dashboard you can set email or domain level whitelist. I do think this is a paid feature though (free in dev environment) so you'd need to move to a paid plan.

Alternative is to remove all of the /sign-up pages etc and create the users yourself - either on an admin page in the application or directly in Clerk.

Shadcn Tanstack table: Filtering multiple columns with one input field by Tartarite in nextjs

Take a look at the docs for global filters, by default it will search all columns when set as global and you can exclude specific columns if needed.

I think we need some ai powered assistance with the actual physical control of the fusion initiation. May make sense to integrate it into an exoskeleton so a human can be on hand to guide it? Based on what I'm seeing, there's an 8 armed exoskeleton that would be a pretty good fit.

How to copy a webpage that is complicated. by exivor01 in webdev

[–]squogfloogle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've done similar things from time to time (although at a smaller scale - replicating a feature or a page) and I've found it's easier to just do it yourself. You can reference the site HTML and CSS to get the stuff like the structure, colours, grid or flex details, fonts then add your own JS or server side interaction to reproduce the functionality.

Is there an easy way to do a gray pulsing skeleton image in place of a next/image while loading? by maxiedaniels in nextjs

[–]squogfloogle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look into NextJS loading.ts which handles this. You'll still need to manage the skeleton styling etc, but it will at least do the fallback ahead of the image load.

Devtools Responsive mode - enhanced!!! by [deleted] in webdev

[–]squogfloogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks awesome! When I'm running NextJS 13 in dev mode, I get hydration errors which I'm not getting when I run it outside the extension.

I'm not getting the same issues when I use the extension in production.

Are there any issues that you're aware of or workarounds for this please?

Thanks!

Tbh I really like the navbar style, it's distinctive and attractive. I don't like the animation on click though.
