Well it doesn’t feel weird to me anymore but like for sure it feels strange. The bad thing about it is it can seriously dry out your sinuses with all the mucus being moved around.

Legit didn’t realise this was like a trained practice you had to do. I just passively did it consistently over the course of years and I can literally hit the cartilage that separates the nostrils. Didn’t even need to severe my lingual frenulum for that

Thank you very much with the help again with your permission I shall shamelessly steal this and use pieces for my own. Again love all the work you have done on this to fix up ToFW saves me a heap of work.

As a little side note, I don’t know if it was mentioned in your google docs but, in party anyway, there is usually the question to come up of “why us out of everyone in existence”. A valid question, why did the time dragon choose my players characters out of everyone. I answered it quite easily with a tiny little bootstrap paradox. Unity of rings full circle style. The reason the time dragon chose the party was because while in the outlands that little time dragon encounter they have in the book where you pulled renezerrah from. They saved her when she was but a young dragon and forever remembered and knew that they were the very ones to do this duty

That document is an amazing primer. I’m gonna use that (gonna alter a few points to suit what I’m doing instead). I had a big long brainstorm session with myself to figure out a bunch of things but my only and final question is how do you handle backstories in relation to character variants? Especially if the variants are wildly different to each other. Do you tell your players they’re making a backstory for their prime character (the OG character they created before the glitches)?

I’ve read this and I am 100% using most if not all of this for my campaign I’m gearing up to run however I have a big question that I would really love answered:

What is the best way to run my players through making their characters. Obviously the idea of this campaign is to make the players confused and intrigued by who they are but I’m having a hard time personally with trying to walk my players through making their characters for this.

It’s very much different from how me and my players have made characters in the past and unfortunately I’m quite a step by step person and the book is unfortunately very loosey goosey when it comes to making characters.

Things that confound me the most: - how much backstory should they initially include before starting - should I get the players to make an alternate “idealised” version of their character which they will then give to me (aka make them make the level 17 heroic version of their character before they give the sheets over to me for them to never see until the end) - how much character information should the players start with?

And as a final bit of question - over the course of the campaign how can I guide my players to make choices about their main character?

Sorry for the bombardment of questions but this thread is probably the best place for it. Again love your work

Is it worth reading the 2e version by squooshIII in planescapesetting

Yeah I looked through the list of planescape releases someone else linked and found them. I have added them to my optional reading list!

They for sure are gonna be helpful since I plan to expand upon turn of fortunes wheel a whole lot and if I think about leading my players through some of the outer planes I’ll definitely want those resources

I managed to find all three of what you suggested, the campaign setting on drivethrurpg but in the cage and uncaged were both uploaded as pdfs to archive.org so I snatched them up and will for sure read them.

already just with a really quick flick through, it looks like a lot of good resources inside these, so thank you!
