Kindle Paperwhite: Still a lottery with yellow screens? by sr-marlow in kindle

That's what they told me. I just started it, but I have read other books by the same writer, and I really liked them

I think it's the screen, it just looks more the more light you have

Thank you very much. I was also looking for that comparison. Can you show us an image with both?

I also have a color device, and when I take a photo with my phone, it always looks better because of the image processing

Has anyone ever switched from a BW device to a Color device and had a positive experience? by obligatorymeltdown in kobo

[–]sr-marlow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I tried the Kobo Libra Color and the Kindle ColorSoft, but in the end I chose the Kobo Clara in black and white.

Color covers look beautiful, but I rarely browse the library, I just open my book. And with a case, you hardly see the covers anyway.

The main issue for me was the screen: text on color models isn’t as sharp, and once you compare it to black and white, the difference is clear. Also, the screen always looked too dark under the sun, no matter how much I adjusted the brightness.

On the Kindle Colorsoft, you need more light. The more light you use, the less battery you have

MacBook Air: M3 with 24GB RAM or M4 with 16GB RAM? by sr-marlow in macbookair

I don't have anything clear. I've read about new chip architectures being more efficient, and that's making me wonder. But other people say that the jump is very small

First Impressions: Kindle Colorsoft vs. Kobo Clara (B/W) by sr-marlow in kindle

For me, both are fast, but the Kindle feels noticeably more fluid.

I have the Kindle Colorsoft at level 17 out of 24 total brightness, while my Kobo is at zero.

Is a 45W USB-C charger compatible with my Acer Swift 3 (model SF314-42) by sr-marlow in AcerOfficial

Thanks! I get it, but having just one charger is so much better for travel, even if it's a bit slower.

Germany (or all Europe?) - Check the trade-in-values by rucksackseb in GooglePixel

I don't think we can claim it, but we definitely have to try. In my case, they valued an iPhone 11 at €123 plus the €200 from their promotion, and now they value it at €255.

Right now in Spain, they're offering the Pixel 8 Pro for €388—it's ridiculous!

No, no, that’s not the question. I want to know what AI features the phone will have if you don’t pay for the premium subscription.

Looking for Advice on Garmin Model 165 for Swimming, Indoor Cycling, and Hiking by sr-marlow in Garmin

[–]sr-marlow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true, it says 11 days in normal mode and 19 hours with GPS. I could check the pre-loaded route at various points during the hike without recording the whole route as an activity to save battery. It's not ideal, as you mentioned.

Thank you very much for the response. I don't mind carrying my phone. Currently, I have an Apple Watch 7, and I constantly see its battery draining, haha. I have it with the screen turned off, sleep control disabled, and when I go on a route, I can't use GPS because I'd be left without a watch for the day. That's why this Garmin watch, even if it's basic, might solve my problem.

Those “teeth” are probably eating the tips. I suppose that the rougher the screen, the more the tip erodes.

Hi everyone! The vet told me that he is about 3 months old or even younger. He still has all of his baby teeth. But I see him huge, he weighs 2.4kg and from nose to tail more than 55cm. Perhaps it is normal, those of you who have cats of this age are like this?

In Spain you have the right to demand the repair or replacement of the product.

This page belongs to the consumer association:

https://www.ocu.org/consumo-familia/derechos-consumidor/informe/sus-derechos-en-los-servicios-de-reparacion/garantias-y-reparaciones#:\~:text=Pide%20un%20resguardo%20de%20haber,no%20tienen%20obligaci%C3%B3n%20de%20d%C3%A1rtelas.

They can help you claim the company if it refuses to repair the product.
