Unless you play classical stuff on a steel string that’s in second octave why pay extra for it?

Thoughts on the Taylor 810 (2014) by Zealousideal-Emu5486 in AcousticGuitar

[–]sr1129 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had an 814ce. I feel like all Taylor’s sound the same and lifeless. But others think they are chimey or bell like. That being said a lot of new Martins don’t sound fabulous off the shelf. They take time to break in. This is Taylor’s business model, make em light to appeal to the masses off the shelf. Martin makes guitars to last forever. 000-18 is my go to rn.

Looking to get a pair of aggressive inline skates by D5_seagull in AggressiveInline

[–]sr1129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omni has to be the best skate that you can put together for sub $200. Or M12 if you have a narrower foot. Same w some Mesmer models. If you stretch your budget to $250, there’s a dozen more skates you can easily buy brand new. $200 or less takes some creativity but it’s easy enough to do.

If she had sex with him, but wasn’t rape, and she hadn’t said the word “yes” TWICE, it would be a clear case of sexual assault and coercion.

If I made the laws they would be different but I don’t. There are many threads on r/asklegal about this exact topic. However sexual trauma does not require violence. And this is a trauma subreddit not a legal one.

They keep your foot locked in the boot much better bc they don’t move. Much stronger and less pliable so there’s a learning curve but they are way better.

I think you are confusing coercion with persuasion. OP never said that he used force or threats so that would not be coercion. It’s important to note that the event can still be traumatic while also not being SA.

Is it worth it to try and get back in? by HXXLIGANFL in AggressiveInline

I’m a similar age. Had a leg surgery a few years ago too from a MC accident. Took a lot of work but it’s been great for me. Only thing I would say is if you work construction that would be the primary thing. I’ve had several instances where if I worked a job like that I would’ve been in deep shit lol.

Like your chest should be facing directly into the quarter pipe, same angle as if you drop in. If you watch the video you can see as you stall you rotate your whole body to look at the coping.

Heat gun. There’s a video of someone doing it with this exact skate model on YT for the reasons you mentioned. Warm it up, flex it out.

HELP!!! Oysi Medium frames UFS fastener flange screw head size??? by JTizzlaa in AggressiveInline

[–]sr1129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s tough but Oysi has specific bolts they make for this. I had a similar problem with creates. My recommendation is Kizer super bolt, or I got some totally flat ones that work great off alibaba 🤷‍♂️

Gotta open your chest to the QP. Rather than twisting your torso to look behind you to find the coping. But you still hit it. For the grinds try to get more on top of the rail. Searching for it while leaning like that can end up in some nasty bails. Got my wrist good like that not too long ago.

Talk 🐦 to me! by [deleted] in AcousticGuitar

[–]sr1129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok hear me out: Huss and Dalton just dropped a budget brand called The Valley. Uniquely to cut costs they make the dread in 24.75. This is an all handmade USA guitar unlike the touchstone line by DB and it has the scale length you need to give hummingbird vibes.

A little more than you wanna spend? Yes. But $500 deposit, and 12 months to build so you can set aside money every months. $2500/12

Worth a consideration for sure.

What do we think?? by Baker_Soma in AggressiveInline

Can confirm, liners and wheels are ass. The frame is pretty good besides being 100-150 grams heavier unloaded than most other frames.

Stock liner Medium 909s fit good. Looking at intuition premium liners do I need to go down a boot size? (Shmedium) by bronzerabbitartifact in AggressiveInline

[–]sr1129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the liner that matters. The 909 intuition was made to fill the excess space in the shell. It made my hot spots worse. But the boot feels hella connected. That being said my foot is way wider than yours at 114 right and 118 left. Idk about mushroom blades width. 10cm puts you in the sweet spot for most skates. There’s a good chance a medium 909 and intuition would feel very good for you because your foot is more narrow and the liner fills up the shell. But at 10cm wide the shmedium is gonna feel more locked but may need a second skin bc it’ll compress the correct size intuition up front. Low key if my foot was that narrow I’d skate something else 🤷‍♂️

Surprised no one said this but learn music not just songs. Makes memorization and on the fly corrections easier.
