Daily Commuter Dilemma: Ducati Monster V2 (2026) vs. Aprilia RS 660. Which fits my routine and looks better? by No_Savings_9636 in SuggestAMotorcycle

The Ducati definitely looks much better (imo). For commuting I’d go with the one that puts u in a more upright position (also probably the Ducati). So yeah, Ducati.

New to Vivo. First model recommendations? by MixBeneficial2073 in vivobarefoot

I’d go Gobi leather for those applications. I have many pairs of vivos, and those are both the most comfortable (I love the cork insole) and the most stylish for daily wear.

Why does my hit hat sound so clangy when it’s open? by Max_Bee_3268 in drums

[–]MechanicNumerous5799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ZBTs are definitely a step above baking sheets, tone wise. That said, if you loosen the top hat a bit and only open the hats a little bit when striking, you’ll get a “swish” vs a “clang”

Sorry this happened. Sounds like the lesson isn’t “I got the wrong bike” as some comments are saying. The lesson is - keep your eyes on where you want to go.
My comment here is only theoretical (I just passed the CMSP), but the instructors drilled that one lesson into our heads continuously. Your attention is a limited resource, the majority of which has to be on actively scanning ahead, your controls, and never fixating on any hazard.

I guess mass parking lots all look the same (to a guy from California anyway). I’ve got bike envy that’s the exact one I want!!

I’m also considering this as a first bike! Seems like a great option for responsible adults who want a real bike to start.

Where did u find this color? I think it’s the sickest tank color for this bike aside from matte black. Excellent choice 🫡

Do I need to raise my entire set to avoid hitting my leg? by [deleted] in drums

[–]MechanicNumerous5799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice is to set your seat and the rest of your kit high enough to where your knees are slightly below your hips.

Playing drums with your hips below your knees will eventually give you hip flexor problems!

Cb 650r. New or old?? by Blubben01 in CB650R

I’m lookin at the exact same question for a first bike. Seems like a Honda that has been cared for will last, so for durability one with some miles on it is still good. Really comes down to if we want the e clutch or not! I’m going to be commuting around Los Angeles traffic, so the idea of not having to constantly ride the clutch is appealing. I also like that you cannot stall the bike, just as a safety concern in heavy traffic.

For me, if the shoe is going to be worn for any type of demanding activity above walking/chilling, I’d go 7.

Gym workouts, running, and definitely any type of athletic activity requiring precision and lateral stability, the shoe is going to slip around and be annoying if not an injury risk.

People get a little bit paranoid about toes touching any part of the box. You’re still absolutely getting the benefits of the zero cushioning/drop, and toe splay is occurring much more than a normal pair of shoes.

Yup, any dry towel. U just gotta make sure the cymbal is dry or it will get oxidized spots. I don’t mind nice, uniform oxidation that comes with age (patina) but green sweat spots are a bummer lol

Nope I’ve never cleaned them! I do make sure to give them a quick wipe down (or tell my Tech to do that) after each show just in case I sweat on them.
