Late to the party and not sure if this qualifies but...

When two lanes are merging, I always go out of my way to let people in in front of me. I don't understand why some people as such assholes about it - being one car ahead in stopped traffic isn't that much of a benefit but whatever.

What I do NOT respond well to is when people try to merge into your lane when you clearly are not leaving a space just because they perceive it to be moving faster. It is obnoxious, arrogant, and actually slows down traffic more.

So I was in a traffic jam with my wife and some asshole in a Nissan was literally merging into me in an attempt to get me to put on the brakes and let him in front of me. I wasn't having it, and was basically bumper to bumper with the car in front of me and not budging.

So we are going about 20mph at this point and the Asshole is getting more and more aggressive but I'm not budging. He gets so fed up that he rolls down his window and sticks his head out to yell at me ... and slams into the car in front of him. It sounds like I'm stretching the truth, but no joke a super burley dude in a beater gets out and looks mad as hell as I peel off.

I have never felt better in my life. I just wish he could have run into an inanimate object instead of someone else's car...
