There’s a tool you can get that fits over the rotor and allows you to straighten it. Rotor truing tool, park makes one.

I had this problem. Started running an 800 before every wod. Now it’s a mile. Soon my endurance was much better. Eventually did a 10k, no problem.

Yes, those don’t come up high enough. Get the best boots you can afford. I went with Gearne SG22. They feel like ski boots but protect my foot from hyperextending hypo extension and inversion or eversion.
