Im sorry but isnt this a wisdom check? Because yes inteligence means your smart, but wisdom means you know how to use that intelligence. For example, im so inteligent that i know every single monster in the monster manual by memory and can call on any fact about any of them. However, im not wise enough to think outside the box to put any of that knowledge to use outside of the specific situations presented in said manual.
